"You have doubts about your placement, I take it?" Ozpin asked, before taking a sip of his coffee.

"Um, yes, a little. I mean, I assume you have your reasons, but is there any chance you made a mistake?" Ruby questioned.

"Uh, no offense, we don't mean to impy you're fallible or anything," Jaune added hastily, but got a look of dry amusement from Ozpin. His expression almost looked... melancholy.

"I am far more fallible than you realize, Mr. Arc," he finally replied. "It's a burden that comes with being human, I am afraid. It is indeed quite possible that I did make a mistake with you both. After all, I daresay I have made more mistakes than any man, woman or child in all of Remnant. However, as of right now, I do not believe my decision to make you both team leaders was one of them."

"You don't?" Ruby inquired, her gaze hopeful for reassurance.

"Ms. Rose, leadership is not an easy task in the slightest. It requires far more than combat skill to do. It also requires a certain charisma, and to have a tactical, quick thinking mind. Things far harder to teach than combat ability. Whatever you lack in terms of current qualifications can be taught easier, but the talents you do have are not to be disregarded." Ruby noticed he seemed to be looking at Jaune in particular, and Jaune also clearly noticed too if the way he stiffened was any indication. Ruby wondered what that was all about, before Ozpin continued, "At any rate, perhaps I should have a chat with Ms. Schnee... see if I can't nip her resentment in the bud. You three have a good rest of your day."

They watched him go, and Yang hugged Ruby from behind, and said, "You know, he talks a lot of sense..."

"Yeah, well, you're my sister and girlfriend, you have a bias," Ruby laughed a bit, but she honestly did feel better. She then looked at Jaune again. "So... you wanna go back to your team right now, or hang out?"
