Chapter 23 by MidbossMan MidbossMan

Will the armor last until Guyld makes it home?

Obviously not... the armor fails in the town square

"Milady, this is extremely, extremely ill-advised! As your therapist, I'm warning you, proactively, that this is going to result in an incident that will require further therapy!" Lenore desperately pleaded with Guyld not to head into the town square, but the proud woman simply scoffed and lifted her nose higher.

"Don't be ridiculous. It's a short walk and this is a lot of armor. No one will even know it's me, under all of this. Then, I will simply redress once we reach the house. I swear, for a woman who studied at Merridan's foremost medical college, you can be quite dense at times."

Lenore's eyes bulged as she realized the purple paladin's order cape had already begun to tatter. Pieces of the armor's tassets had begun to hang loose at the waist, revealing the incredibly strained leather of the man's handsome trousers, struggling to hold in her client's massive derriere. With every step the noble lady took, more pieces of her armored boots trailed along after her. "M-Milady! There are not very many people with gorgeous green hair like yours... I-I think that your presence will be rather apparent!"

"Aw, you think my hair's gorgeous? Thank you, Lenore. That black feathered do is rather fetching on you, I've always thought, but perhaps you could benefit from dying to a more vibrant color yourself? Blonde is very in vogue, at the moment. You could be a fashionista if you wanted to be! Wearing my dress is a good start."

A helpless smile came to the therapist's face for a moment as her secret love interest complimented her, then fell back off as the compliment turned into an insult. "An easterner with blonde hair? I'd look like a delinquent..." Wait! That wasn't important right now! What was important was that they'd reached the bustling town square, full of merchants and performers as it would be on any day well after the church's sermon. Already, she was drawing all sorts of eyes... Paladins were rare enough, but those in the know would recognize there were no female paladins at present. Further... they'd certainly be aware if there was any paladin that wore her armor in such shameless disrepair, with pieces falling off and littering the street behind her. Not to mention the somewhat pudgy belly peeking out below the breast plate... "Okay, if you insist that we keep going, I must implore you: clear your mind of men! Don't think about anything that might be interpreted by our lord as lust."

"Of course not!" Despite her protests, more pieces of the armor were falling, revealing further glimpses of the strained tunic and trousers beneath. As the armored breast-plate fell off, clattering noisily and attracting the attention of an interested crowd nearby, she gulped. "O-Okay, Lenore, I am **** to admit, this seems somewhat perilous." She clutched her helmet to her head tightly, worrying the piece most important for concealing her identity was going to vanish... only to find it crumbling to dust in her hands. The noble lady had lost the last of her armor rather abruptly. "Well... No more armor but... all I really needed were the man's clothes. With those, I can-"

As she turned her gaze downward, she realized that Pardoo's armor concerns seemed to extent not just to his armor, but even to his plain clothes. The sleeves of the tunic had already worn away, along with the legs, up to above the calves. "L-Lenore! Help me to stop thinking about being exposed to all the men in town square!" Her pleas grew more urgent, as the more she thought about all of the commoners drinking in her body, the more aroused she became in spite of herself, quickening the pace of the destruction. Her cleavage had begun to show through an increasingly widened window at the neck of her shirt, while the buttons noisily popped from her trousers. "Hurry!"

Lenore swore under her breath, then produced her hypnotism talisman once more. She had no other idea of what might work to clear her client's mind. "Miss Guyld... You will not think about men... You will not have lusty thoughts about men... Do not think about men... Focus only on your lovely home and the people you call friends..."

Thankfully, the woman was just as quick to hypnotize as before. "Not men... Focus on my friends... Not men... My friends..." Guyld repeated, wearing a dopey smile on her now exposed face as the people of the square gathered to form a circle around the strange show she and her therapist had unintentionally provided.

"Yes! That's it... Picture a friend and hold that picture in your mind. Picture something you wanted to do together with them, something joyful! Yes, the two of you are going to do that together! Good..."

"Something joyful... with my friend..."

What are the effects of Lenore's hypnotism, round 2?
