A blue orb kept leading Teddy further and further through the dense Canadian brush. She had run out of food six days ago. And had been drinking water at streams whenever she could find them. Her hunger pains had disappeared, but that didn't mean she didn't think about food though.
She was a farmer.. or at least she used to be a farmer... she'd been the youngest of ten kids... now she was all that remained after the rains came and killed everyone but her..
Her familys farm had become a desolate wasteland despite all the rain that had killed everyone. It had dried up the terrain like a dessert and she'd been forced to leave or waste away there.
Each step she took brought her closer and closer to the group of four with their children. Not that she knew this. Teddy's legs soon gave out and her eyes rolled back as she passed out, crumpling to the ground.
A tech bracelet formed over her wrist where she was passed out in the grass, putting her child count at zero and welcoming her into the small community....
