Jessica took one, then two timid steps out onto the balcony. Senses reeling, she listened to the night. There, she spotted it. A pair of legs behind a parked carriage. A carriage she had **** but to pass. Large feet, and without shoes, a trace of bandages trailing down. She looked harder. If she could guess, it was coiled to strike. A beast or hunter, she knew it. She still had the moltav cocktail. Or... maybe she could run past it?
