I almost got knocked over as my pa...pets fell through the door and in unison rushed towards me. I was too upset with how Olivia left to really complain about the weirdness of this. Instead I just leaned into it, crouching and scratching both of their ears.
"Thanks guys, I appreciate you wanting to cheer me up." I sighed and started to get up. "No point in moping all day, right? I've got two adorable puppies to take care of after all." I said sending them a smile.
Both Chip and Daisy gave me a cheerful "woof!" and I indeed felt better!
"So let me see. You guys ate about three hours ago after the walk and the baths. I'll go clean up your bowls and refill them".
I head towards the kitchen to do just that. I ponder on what should be a next meal, for the pets, but it's not like there's much variety anyway, so I grab two different cans and pour them into the bowls. When I set the bowls back on the ground I try to explain to them that Olivia's parents want to meet them.
"I know it would interrupt this test, but I would really appreciate it if you could go to this for me". I plead. They have to meet the neighbours right?
I'm not sure if I was counting on the answer but it didn't come anyway. Instead both of them started eating their food. "You're not gonna answer me?" I sigh and get up. "Alright. Fair enough. You're dogs and too focused on food."
I got up and headed back to the kitchen and grab some soup for myself. Warm it up in a micro-wave and sit back at the table. I eat few spoonfuls before pondering.
I wait patiently for them to finish eating then go put the bowls in the sink to clean them. Not going to make the same mistake second time. I then come back and sit down in front of my pets. "All right. So one bark for yes, two barks for no, are you planning on going to Olivia's place tomorrow?"
