Kevin reached down and picked up the sock. He was immediately worried. If Scarlett had dropped it off, why wouldn't she hang around? The note he found inside instantly made his heart drop.

It was quick, to the point and most definitely not from Scarlett. Kevin closed the door and practically collapsed into a panic attack. Who had his footage? He hadn't even told Scarlett about the camera, let alone anyone else. Not only had they figured out how to access his camera, but they'd found his house. Did they find the camera book when he was at the library, or had it just gotten knocked around and they found it later? Who were they? What did they want? There were too many unanswered questions, and almost no way of narrowing them down.

About ten minutes passed as Kevin contemplated things, and then, out of nowhere, his phone chimed with an email. He tried to read it on his phone, but it had an attachment and the app was buggy, so instead he booted up his computer. The start-up sound reminded him to mute his speakers, and he drummed his fingers impatiently on the desk as his browser took a couple of minutes to get running.

Logging onto his email account, there were two new messages. The first was a registration from setting up the camera, recommending he set a password. He'd ignored it at the time, and now very dearly regretted it. The second was from an email address made solely of numbers, with the subject The Library Today.

Upon opening it, the first thing Kevin saw was screenshots. They were low quality and a little blurry, but it was clearly him and Miss Scarlett, in the library, with his candlestick. Even in the low resolution, Scarlett looked lovely, and he couldn't help but remember everything they had done. The warmth, the moaning, the... Kevin shook his head to help centre his thoughts. This was serious. When Kevin look back at the screen, what really drew his attention was the message below it.

We need to improve your production values. You're going to be making a lot more of these videos, and they're not going to be any good if I can barely make out the nipples. I've left a link below to a camera you should buy, express post, and I'll send you the other requirements tomorrow.

PS. In case it's not clear, I've attached some PDFs covering the relevant rule breaches of yourself and the girl. It would be a shame if she lost her job because you secretly recorded her. Of course, there are worse things...

Kevin gulped. ****. He immediately checked the library's S3X7 policy, and sure enough, their public display was a breach. The other PDF caught him off-guard. Deliberately filming S3X7 activities without a participant's knowledge or consent was considered a serious breach of the law. He wondered why he hadn't read this before, but some online research showed this was a more recent amendment that had never actually been enforced. Kevin doubted Scarlett would press charges, but then again, if the video lost her the job...

Kevin shuddered. S3X7 breaches generally got you placed on the Deviants list, and that wasn't something he wanted to consider. He clicked the camera link in the email, which lead to another spy device, this one in 4K and concealed in a very convenient object. He sighed and checked his card balance. This would leave him eating 2 minute noodles for the rest of the month. He looked again at the filming amendment, then typed in his credit card details and pressed BUY.
