Chapter 53 by magictcg

Test time... Hope you studied

Nothing but postives

Morning light filters through the small bathroom window as the three of you crowd into the cramped space. Jamie clutches the pharmacy bag, her knuckles white with tension. Mia leans against the sink, attempting to project calm professionalism despite the slight tremor in her hands.

"So," you say, breaking the charged silence, "how do we want to do this?"

Jamie pulls out three pregnancy tests from the bag. "I bought extras... just in case we needed to confirm."

"Ladies first," Mia suggests, taking one of the tests. "I'll go, then Jamie, then we wait together?"

You nod, placing a supportive hand on each of their shoulders. "Whatever the results, I meant what I said last night. I'm here for both of you."

Jamie's eyes glisten with unshed tears as she squeezes your hand. "I never thought I'd be hoping for a positive pregnancy test at eighteen."

"Life's full of surprises," Mia responds with a nervous laugh. She disappears into the toilet cubicle while you and Jamie wait outside.

The minutes crawl by as each woman takes her turn. Finally, both tests sit in a row on the edge of the sink, tiny hourglasses flashing as they process.

"Three minutes never felt so long," Jamie murmurs, nestled against your chest as your arms encircle both women.

Mia checks her watch compulsively. "Thirty seconds left."

You feel their bodies tense against yours as the moment of truth approaches. Your heart hammers in your chest, a mixture of terror and exhilaration coursing through your veins.

"Time," Mia announces, her voice barely above a whisper.

All three of you lean forward simultaneously, eyes fixed on the small plastic windows. Two pink lines appear clearly on both tests – unmistakable positives.

"Oh my god," Jamie breathes, her hand flying to her mouth.

Mia stares at her test in stunned silence, professional composure momentarily shattered.

"Both of you," you manage to say, your voice thick with emotion. "You're both..."

"Pregnant," Mia finishes, looking up at you with an expression you can't quite read. "Your super-sperm defeated modern medicine."

Jamie lets out a sound somewhere between a laugh and a sob, turning to bury her face against your chest. "What are we going to do?"

You tighten your embrace around both women, mind racing but voice steady. "Exactly what we said last night. We figure this out together."

"My parents will disown me," Jamie whispers. "Dad will lose his mind when he finds out I'm carrying the baby of the employee he hired to help me."

"He doesn't need to know right away," Mia points out practically. "We have more immediate concerns. Like the fact that he's coming tomorrow to check on our progress with the DVDs."

You take a deep breath, grounding yourself. "One crisis at a time. We've got the content handled – we've exceeded what he asked for. We focus on that first, then we discuss options for..."

"For our babies," Jamie completes your sentence, her hand moving instinctively to her still-flat stomach.

Mia's professional mask slips back into place, though her fingers tremble slightly as she discards the tests. "We have a meeting with my industry contact this afternoon. If that goes well, we might have a legitimate business opportunity that could support... whatever comes next."

You nod, mind still reeling but determined to be the rock they both need right now. "Whatever you both decide, I'll support you. Both of you. Both babies."

Jamie stands on tiptoe to kiss you softly. "I never expected this, but I don't regret a single moment."

Mia watches this exchange with complex emotions playing across her face before stepping forward to join the embrace. "Neither do I. Somehow."

The three of you stand locked together in the small bathroom, futures irrevocably changed but facing it as a unit rather than alone.

Congratulations! Through creativity, determination, and clever thinking, you've not only saved the store but have secured your position and set boundaries that protect you from future exploitation. Your quick thinking turned a potential disaster into an opportunity, and you've emerged with your job intact and your future looking brighter than ever.

Good End? (Maybe to be continued)
