Notes to Prospective Contributors
I'm hoping to have this story see a great deal of participation from a wide range of writers. For the hell of it though, let's throw a couple constraints in to this little fictional world.
1) The die will be used to drive the story. Basically, either intentionally or not, the dice will be thrown, and what it lands on will drive the fate of our protagonists.
2) Every time the die is rolled in the story, create a chapter break. This will be the point where other writers can roll the dice themselves and jump in.
- If you don't have a twenty sided die, you can just Google D20 and roll one there.
- The higher the roll the more things go the way of our characters.
- A 20 means that everything that could go right, does.
- A 1 means quite the opposite. Critical failures could very well mean the end of that story line.

One IS the loneliest number
Our protagonist comes across a powerful artifact, a twenty sided die. Now, every time this powerful plastic polyhedron is thrown our hero is taking their fate in their hands, as strong rolls lead to success, failures can result in dire consequences.
