Note From the Author

Hey everybody, chapter 64 concludes Gamer Gurl: Part II.

Next up is publishing it elsewhere. That will require me to re-read it in its entirety put it together in bigger pieces, and of course edit it a bit. Just as Gamer Gurl got renamed to Gamer Gurl: Origins, so shall Gamer Gurl: Part II be renamed. Gamer Gurl: Evolutions. I think that fits with what Sadie has gone through.

I have to admit, this part went a LOT longer than I thought it would. I figured, when I started writing it, that it might be AS long as the first part but would likely be just a bit shorter. In the end, it's almost 50% longer than the first part. I started writing this on July 20th, 2024 with every hope of finishing it by Christmas of that year. This last part got published on July 30th, 2025. Part of that is the story expanding and going in directions I didn't expect. But a far bigger part was my mental health. I went through a MAJOR depressive episode late last year. Getting through the episode and then dealing with the side effects of the medications that helped me get through the episode have made writing difficult. Not just writing Gamer Gurl, but writing anything. Role playing, writing short stories on tumblr, writing my caps (the last cap I made was in August of last year!). So, after I get this published at the other site, what's next? Unlike last time, when I finished Gamer Gurl part one and was at a loss as to what I wanted to write, I've had my office story scratching inside my head HARD to get out. It's up on deck. Like "Its A Man's World" it will be sex heavier. It won't be entirely about sex, but it will be there early and often. Unlike "Its A Man's World" this won't be set in another world. Like Gamer Gurl, it's set in a world much like our own. Almost exactly like our own with only a few tweaks to make some things more possible (who wants to wait for breast implants to heal!?).

I've already started writing this story. In fact, I started the idea of this story in February of 2023 and started writing it proper in September of that year. And yes, if you're paying close attention, that means it's been percolating in my head since BEFORE I started Gamer Gurl. The good side of that is that I have a ton of ideas for the story. The bad is that I have to now sift through all these ideas and mix them down into a single, character based thread. The name of the story is going to be "You're Not The Boss Of Me" and it will be a secretary/office based story.

One last thing on how this, Gamer Gurl: Part II, ended. (spoilers ahead if you haven't read all of Gamer Gurl: Part II yet!!!) It was my intent from the very first line I wrote of this story that it would end with Sadie in Japan getting demonitized. I knew this would be more of a cliff hanger than the first part was. But much like Empire Strikes Back, the second part should leave you aching for the third part, right? So from Sadie getting her belly button ring, to her helping Marley out with his video and his trip to Vegas, from her getting hit up by Todd and being used by him, to her learning to be at least somewhat sex positive with Marley and Louis, to finally getting the tech ambassadorship and then having that ruin her financially, that was all part of this story since last year. So, please don't think that I just petered out and decided to call that the end of this part. If I was willing to do that, it would have been in January of this year, shortly after Sadie got saved from Todd. But that wasn't the emotional ending of this part and I wanted to give you the full 'Part II' before moving on. So I hope you understand and hope you'll follow when I finally get to the third and what I assume will be final part of Gamer Gurl.

Above all, I hope you've enjoyed Sadie's and Sarah's and Marley's and Louis' and everybody's journey in this story so far. I hope I left you wanting more because that's by design. While I tend to follow my own internal compass, I do still love to hear comments. Let me know what you think so far.
