Note From The Author

When I started writing Gamer Gurl in November, I didn’t know what I was getting in to. I looked at this as an entirely different form of writing. While many stories here are by one author and one author only, I liked several that were passed back and forth between two or more writers. So, when I started the story, I didn’t make any plans as to where this was going to go. I was silently hoping someone would pick it up and take it in a direction that I didn’t expect. And if someone picked it up and took it in a different direction that I didn’t like… well, then I could always continue in my direction, and we just have a branching story.

To say that I became enamored with the story is an understatement. Looking back, in four days I wrote seven chapters. Just over 18,000 words. And I didn’t really slow down until Thanksgiving.

The amount of people liking the chapters, bookmarking them, favoriting the story, and just simply reading it has been overwhelming. I swear, each action makes me smile. And seeing the reading totals go up makes me giggle like a schoolgirl! It’s one of the reasons that it’s so addicting.

I say all that to present this… during those first four days, I didn’t have much idea at all as to where the story was going. I didn’t know Nick’s name would become Sadie. I didn’t know his online name would become Princess BabyDoll or that he’d meet a fellow streamer called Louis. I didn’t know he’d get in home exercises, that his trainer would be named Marley, or even that Marley would be a tall black man instead of a woman. I didn’t know how Nick would physically become Sadie (besides the hair and lips), and I didn’t imagine Sarah becoming a Mistress and Sadie wearing a chastity cage.

But around that Thanksgiving break, since no one had added to the story, I started to make a trajectory for it. Not even a full outline, just an idea of what was going to happen. Nick would become presentable as Sadie and streamable as Princess BabyDoll. There would be a lot of adventures while streaming. And then even further adventures when they got to the top of their streaming game. Some of it’s sexy, some of it’s emotional, some of it is harrowing. And I hope all of it is interesting. So while I didn’t stop the writing just one chapter at a time and seeing where it lead me, I did start thinking of this as Part 1 out of 3 parts.

I just had no idea that Part 1 would take 39 chapters and over 95,000 words. But we have, in fact, come to the end of Part 1 with the publication of chapter 39.

So that leads me to my favorite line from West Wing: What’s Next?

I’m not quite sure. I know that I’m going to take all of what I’ve written, reformat it a bit, add a little here, take a little away there, split it into larger chapters, and publish it to Fictionmania. So far, Fictionmania hosts all of my longer stories. I’m not sure, however, that once it’s published at Fictionmania that I want to return here and immediately start on Part 2. Before I started writing this, I had a secretary story (temporarily titled “You’re Not The Boss Of Me”) started. It’s about 25,000 words so far. But it was being written in the old way. Writing, writing, writing, going back and editing, writing some more, adding more to the beginning so it can echo a part that I’d just written… so on and so forth. I can’t just pick it up and drop it here in edible parts and then continue writing it. But I do want to eventually finish it.

I have several ideas for other stories:

1) Before I started writing this, I had a secretary story (temporarily titled “You’re Not The Boss Of Me”) started. It’s about 25,000 words so far. But it was being written in the old way. Writing, writing, writing, going back and editing, writing some more, adding more to the beginning so it can echo a part that I’d just written… so on and so forth. I can’t just pick it up and drop it here in edible parts and then continue writing it. But I do want to eventually finish it and with some work could make it work here.

2) I’ve had the idea for a story involving Time travel into the future where gender is decided by a genetic scan and one of the time travelers gets transformed into a woman. And then finds out he’s in a society that worships women by completely dominating them socially, financially, and sexually.

3) A story similar to ‘Point of No Return’ where a guy is sentenced to **** and saved at the last minute by being recruited into a secret agency and made into an assassin. A female assassin. After his training, he then has to go out and live the life of a woman while still being an assassin.

4) A complicated story of a guy crossdressing to visit his girlfriend in an all-girls dorm, and then is blackmailed by his girlfriend, then a professor, then his girlfriend’s roommate, then a football player, then… on and on and on. He ends up in situations where he can tell person A facts 1, 2, and 3, then can tell person B facts 1, and 3, and has to make up facts 4 and 5 that person A can’t know about. Person C knows facts 2, 3, and 5, and makes him new facts 6, and 7. On and on. I originally wrote a cap based loosely on this in 2012 and have been considering the longer story since 2019.

5) Or I could start a new story like I did here. Make a guy, give him a reason to be transformed, and start writing without any knowledge of where it will go.

The point I’m trying to make is that I don’t know what’s next. I normally don’t let an audience pick what I write. I write what I like and hope it finds an audience. If it doesn’t… well, at least I like it! So, I’m not going to say that I will take any suggestion and run with it, or that I’m opening up a poll and will abide by the vote. But I’m open to seeing what you’d all like.

Understand that, no matter what, I’ll come back and write the next parts of Gamer Gurl. I’m too emotionally invested in Sadie and Sarah and Louis and Marley and even Todd to just let them go. Also… if/when I continue Gamer Gurl, would you want to see it added to this story? Start off Chapter 2 with ‘Chapter 40’? Or would you rather me start a new story (I’m considering reconning the title of this part to Gamer Gurl: Origins).

Anyway, let me know what you think. I’ll take anything under consideration. I might start a new story tomorrow, I might start writing “You’re Not The Boss Of Me” out of site, I might just take a week and get back into role playing. But I’d love to hear what you have to say.

And last thing… I want to again thank you all for reading along with this story. It’s really reignited the fire in me to write!

I'm editing this because I wanted to update this and answer some of the comments, but it's more than wanted I wanted to put into a single comment... so, here's the answers and my current thinking. I'll add that I originally posted this epilogue on 02/02/2024 and am now editing it on 02/07/2024.

Before I get into specifics, thank you all for commenting. I appreciate all the compliments, all the suggestions, and all the ideas.

To Caged_Caroleta: Yes, I love writing stories with more than one 'thread' especially when the threads are all pulling on the protagonist in different ways. I certainly, at this point, have Sarah firmly in the driver's seat but I don't know that she'll stay there. Or at least not fully there. It might be one of the bigger differences between the parts... who exactly has the most control over Sadie.

To Cdslavejessie: I appreciate hearing that others like reading these fantasies. Tell me... what would you like to see happen? I'm not saying it WILL happen, but if I never hear an idea I can't get inspired by it!

To Nikyukuu: Wow... I'm not sure I could read this in just a few days. Bravo! Thanks for the compliments and for being emotionally invested in the characters. It's something I do aspire to. I always figure people can write better pure gonzo style porn than I can. My style is to add those emotional and character bits that will draw you. With some porn too! You say you hope Sadie reconciles with Louis but prefer the Sadie/Sarah pairing because it would be cruel to leave Louis hanging. Well, someone is probably going to be left in the cold. It might be Sarah, Louis... it might be Sadie herself. The future parts will also likely add more emotional/relationship involvements for Sadie to wade through! As for having the story be in one place, I do think I'd prefer it to be a separate story. The more I think about it, it will read like a sequel with its own beginning, middle, and end, even if it turns out to the middle part of a trilogy. Think of it like this was A New Hope, and the next part is Empire Strikes Back.

To sissy3: I answered in the comments, but just to reiterate, I agree going with another story would dilute the audience, but I think it might rejuvenate me. More on why below.

To taigan: From about four chapters back, I had this as the end point. The follow up visit with the doc. Hopefully it will be clear if/when I get to 'Part II' but it's the clear distinct break from the two parts. Sadly, I was getting in my own head with the 'writing as I go' style and it made that ending come on more quickly than I thought. So... I agree, it was sudden.

To GungJai: We're on the same page when it comes to conflict. I think once the story has run out of conflict, it's stopped being a story. The vague ideas I have for continuing this story definitely involve amping up current conflicts and adding new ones. You're correct in noting that a lot of the conflict here was winding down, which is why I thought it was a good break between stories. I'll discuss the **** story below.

I'm still currently editing this to be a multi part story on Fictionmania. To be honest, I thought it would take me a day or so but my migraines have grown so severe in just these few days that it's a slog. And the fact that I'm re-treading the same characters and the same story makes it kind of difficult to stay interested. That's not to say I don't like these characters, it's just tough to stay in that world for that long.

As for my next project, I've had some more thoughts on that. The first idea I mentioned, "You're Not The Boss Of Me" is being removed. I will eventually finish that story as I have some great ideas for it, but I don't think I can transition it to a chapter by chapter posting style. It'd end up a different story all together. So, I'm removing that as a possibility.

I've given more thought to the Time Travel idea and am liking it more and more. I think it'd fit the chapter by chapter posting style. It'd definitely be a change of tone. Gamer Gurl is, in my estimation, 80% character/emotion driven and 20% sex/porn driven. The ideas I have for the time travel would nearly flip that. I'm thinking 70% porn/sex and 30% character/emotion. But, without spilling too many beans, the sex would be a big part of the character development.

The "Point of No Return", like "You're Not The Boss of Me" is off the table. I think it's too formulaic to work in this chapter by chapter style. I'd have to have a nearly complete outline to work from and would be fenced in to where it goes as opposed to the open free range style that I'm working from now. I'm not saying someone else couldn't do it, but it's not what I'm looking to write here.

The complicated **** story is, unfortunately, in the same boat. When I was describing it above, I listed 4 main antagonists, but I was honestly thinking more like 8. If I have that many sub-plots going all at once, I need to be careful about who I introduce and when I come back to them. I think it'd be possible, but it would be a very tough balancing act. I think like the the point of no return and you're not the boss of me ideas, this has to be pulled.

So, that leaves me with continuing on with Gamer Gurl Part II, the time travel story, and something 'new'. From the comments here, I think I'm hearing a bigger chorus for continuing with Gamer Gurl. Again, I'm not opposed to it, but I think I'm already burned out a bit on it.

Lemme paint a more detailed picture of the time travel story, just to see if I can whet your appetites.

I'm picturing it starting with the protagonist and two colleagues. The two colleagues, a man and a woman, are the scientific driving **** while the protagonist is the mechanical wizard (consider him like Matt Damon's character in the Martian). They know their tech works, but they can't get the probes they're sending into the future to come back, or when they do it's just a mess of radiation damage. They know that at some point there's a nuclear war, and that sometime after that society returns. They want to find out what causes the nuclear war in hopes to prevent it. But without the probes coming back, they're at a loss.

They finally make a breakthrough and can send themselves through. It's dangerous as they'll need to build their own return device once they get there but they think it's worth the risk. They go and find the future is like a 'valley of the dolls' in that its a lot like our current society but just not right. Their first location is in an area with far superior technology to anywhere else in the world. This area has no care for the past. They know there was a world destroying war and that it took generations to redevelop afterward, but don't know what caused the war and no desire to find out. Part of their technological superiority is to clean up the genetics of anybody. They assume our party are visitors from another part of the world and have to 'clean them up'. The man gets turned into the idealized version of his genetics. He gets taller, stronger, and smarter. Even his vision is corrected. He becomes 'the perfect male specimen' including below the belt. The same thing happens to the woman. She's taller, curvier, and smarter. Her hearing is corrected as well as a genetic disease that would have eventually killed her. She's the perfect female specimen. Together they look like models, will likely live past 100 years old with no genetic defects, and are actually smarter than they were before.

I'm sure you can guess what happens to our protagonist. They find out that his genetic code could have been male or female at birth. As they have a low number of natural born females, they 'fix' his error and make him female. Over the next few weeks they all get to watch as his body transforms into an ideal woman. He shrinks by almost a full foot in height. His musculature completely changes and he's far smaller and weaker. His fat redistributes giving him ideal feminine curves and even breasts. And, unlike a lot of my stories which are cross-dressing based with mild Sci-fi features... he completely changes into a woman.

They find out that this society not only can't help them figure out what happened in the past to cause the war, they want to use the two females as part of their breeding stock. They need more females and aren't above forcing pregnancy on them.

Much sexual hijinx occur, but they eventually escape to a different part of the world. This one comes across as an almost idealized 50's 'Stepford' society. Women, initially, seem to serve the men. They're invited in but have to agree to live by their societies rules. Without much choice they sign on, but without realizing it sign up as the two scientists being married with our protagonist being unmarried. They find out that the male scientist can take 'her' as a second wife but until he does, our protagonist is open game. And that's a rarity as most women are spoken for before they're of age (they're wed off to other families!).

They find out the society is a little more complex. They worship women but believe they can only make them happy by subjugating them. Forcing them to have sex is considered an honorable thing to do. And women, they believe, will naturally act like they don't want it even though 'deep down they really do'. So our protagonist's struggles against it is considered normal and not anything they concern themselves with. They later find out that almost all of this society's sexual rules were based on "old video recordings from the past". It just turns out these worshiped videos were porn. And strangely, the women agree with this as it's the only society they've known.

Much sexual hijinks occur and is complicated as the 'married couple' are finding that they like this society and are working on convincing our protagonist to give up on ever going back. Which means 'training' him to enjoy being a woman.

The story gets more and more fuzzy as I get further into it as small changes in the beginning get harder to predict the further out they go. I know the story's end though, so I could be writing toward that the entire time.

Oh, and I have a rough name in mind now, but it's not written in concrete: "It's A Man's World"

So... "Gamer Gurl Part II", "It's A Man's World" or something random.
