Spencer spent his Tuesday within arm's reach of his phone as he tried in vain on focusing on his freelance assignment. Eventually, he received the text he wanted to read: 'coffee?'

On the way to the Corner Coffee House, Spencer thought of his dream, causing him to become erect. When he entered the cafe, he wondered how many of the mothers may notice the tentpole he had pitched in his pants, and how much more jealous they'd become of Evelyn. When he sat down, he noticed a beaming smile on Evelyn's face.

"Hey Spence."

"Hey."

"How's it going?"

"Good, you?"

"Helped round up some cattle today and managed to trip onto a 'minefield'. Sorry if I smell like cow shit still." Evelyn sniffed herself. "Think I'm good."

"I can't smell it."

"So, want a job in law enforcement?"

"I'm sure I can play minesweeper at home."

Evelyn laughed before saying "At least I got an hour off my shift to clean my uniform."

"Sacrifices in the line of duty?"

"Something like that."

"So how did all that happen?"

"Well, someone crashed their car into a fence, and had decided to reverse out. By the time I got their, cattle had blocked the road, so I was there helping the property owner get everything sorted."

"So did you get your fall on dash cam?"

"Maybe. I'll find out soon enough. So what about you Spencer? Anything exciting happen?"

"No, this has probably been the most exciting part of my day."

Evelyn smiled. "Guess you need to make an addition to your house?"

"Maybe someone could drive into the fence?"

"I'll remember that next time I come around."

As Spencer sipped at his coffee, he noticed the other mothers leaving. "Looks like it's time to get moving."

After quickly chugging down his coffee, Spencer stood up and said "Well, see you soon Evelyn."

"Sure."

The two exchanged a quick kiss before Evelyn headed out the door. Spencer longed for it to have lasted longer, but he settled for what he could get. The lust that had subsided during the conversation came running back into his mind. He started to question if he could hold out until the weekend, or if he would be able to squeeze in something between the time Evelyn got off work and had to pick up her kids.
