Chapter 7
by SingingLark
So much for divine guidance... Is Liandra ready for her marriage now?
Not yet
Liandra didn't notice it, but the events at the temple did have a subtle impact on her. The princess had always been a carefree spirit, but she became even more prone to wandering the castle, and intrude in others problems. She would hear them out, and like a child point how simply ones problems could be solved, all it took was a little understanding and acceptance. Many chose to heed her advice to they found happiness and wealth, and Liandra found such joy in these little charities that she forgot for a while the arranged marriage that waited her.
It was a rainy summer day, and Liandra's harp lessons grew long as she and her mentor, the bard Ludo, were stuck in a gazebo until the drizzle was over.
"You have been playing beautifully of late, dear angel" Ludo had taken to call her that. "For a while, I though you troubled by the prospects of your coming marriage, but apparently my worries were for naught." Liandra didn't notice how upset that made Ludo, so answered in the words of a song
"Who can say
where the road goes
where the day flows
only time..."
Liandra smiled at her wit, and Ludo sighted, defeated. All his rumormonger had been for naught, never did he meet a purer soul then Liandra. He just enjoyed the rest of her song, and at the end asked. "But if you had one wish, one last selfish wish before you submitted to the matrimony´s holy oaths, what would it be?" Liandra felt her hands cringe, Yogodol´s last words echoing in her mind.
What is Liandra's last selfish wish?
