Not when her shower ends.

The warmth of the shower lingered on Hermione’s skin as she turned off the water, steam curling around her in the dimly lit bathroom. She reached out, expecting to find a towel within arm’s reach—only to grasp at nothing but air.

Frowning, she turned, scanning the room. There had to be one somewhere. She checked the nearby countertop, the small cabinet beneath the sink, even the hooks on the far wall. Nothing.

Her frustration grew with each failed attempt, but the bigger problem was making itself known—she was dripping wet, and the steam was already beginning to fade, allowing the cool morning air to settle around her. A shiver ran down her spine as she hugged her arms to herself, standing stark naked in the middle of the room.

She took a slow, measured breath, forcing herself to think through her options.

First, she glanced toward the floor where she had discarded her clothes earlier—but of course, they were gone. She had known the floor was enchanted to transport soiled garments directly to the laundry, but in her half-awake state, she hadn’t thought twice about it. Now, it left her with nothing to wear but her dressing gown.

She considered simply staying put until she could figure out another solution, but that had its own issues. The longer she stood here, the colder she would get, and it wasn’t as if a towel would magically appear if she waited long enough. She could try summoning one with a spell, but without her wand—currently upstairs in her room—that wasn’t an option either.

As she worked through each scenario, her stomach twisted with the realization that she had only one real choice. She was naked, in a mansion full of people, two floors down from her room. If she wanted to get out of this situation with any dignity intact, she needed to cover herself.

And the only thing she had was her dressing gown.
