Chapter 28
by TMJ2008
How does the fairy react to this situation?
Not well, as one would expect.
"NOOOOOOOOO!!!", the fairy screams out, her high-pitched tinkling voice now very audible to your ear rather than sounding in your mind, "LET GO! LETGOLETGOLETGOLETGOOOOO!"
You wince back at the fairy's sudden screeching as she begins to pound her tiny fists upon your steel encased fist and try her best to wriggle free from your grip. You probably should have expected her to react in this way, considering she had gone from trying to kill you to being ravished by you in a body she shouldn't be able to be ravished in to being stripped down to her actual form and caught in your grip. The naiad's reaction had seemed so calm and collected that you had somehow expected the fairy to react the same way. Then again, the naiad had been seeking to seduce you from the start whereas the fairy had been trying to slay you. Two very different situations, one would have to say.
You clear your throat and try to interrupt the fairy's exclamations. "Now, calm down. I mean you no harm...er, no further harm, I mean."
"NO! NONONONONONO!!", she continues to scream out, now trying to bite your hand through the gauntlet, her panic rising as she finds her efforts to escape you more and more futile.
"Truly, if you would just calm yourself, we could discuss this and you'd see that...", you try again.
"LETGOLETGOLETGOOOOOO!", she screams as you see her diamond eyes flash with power, power that you feel her working as though it were your own, and are suddenly assaulted by dozens upon dozens of small rocks pelting you.
"Ow! Stop that! Honestly, if you would, OW, would stop, OUCH, stop for a moment we could, OOF...!", you say as you try to ward off the storm of small stones as best you can.
"LET ME GOOOOOO! LET ME GOOOOO!", she screeches and you see a larger boulder that could probably actually do some damage to you rise into the air and start to hurtle towards you.
Finally, your patience snaps and you growl out, "I said STOP IT AND SHUT UP!", and, as you do, the gauntlet glows with its blood red aura that you see mirrored in a similar glowing of the brand around the fairy's throat. Suddenly, the stones that had been hurtling towards you stop and fall to the ground like marionettes having their strings cut and the fairy's voice squeaks to a stop as her little body shudders in your grip and her face twists into a grimace of pain.
"A-argh...I...I...I am...s-sorry. Sorry. P-please...stop...hurting me.", she whimpers as you realize that, in your anger, you had unconsciously used your power upon her to **** her to comply to your growled words through painful means.
You are quick to pull back your anger, pushing it down and leashing the power within you once more. The fairy relaxes in your grip as you do so and it is with a gasp of relief that she sags in your grip, leaning her head against the steel of your gauntlet as she catches her breath. This time you find that you did not need such time to recover as you had when the naiad had sparked your temper and you wonder if that's because you'd experienced this once before or because you had gained more power by taking the fairy in her mud golem shell as you had. Considering the magic you'd exhibited when marking the fairy, the latter did not seem an unlikely scenario.
Before you can think more on that, the fairy regains her breath and speaks, in a defeated voice, "You have me then. Do what you will. Take my wings for your potions. Grind me up for healing powder. Drain my blood to rub on your skin to retain your youth. Skin me and etch runes into my hide. I don't care..."
You blink in confusion at that and shake your head. "E-excuse me? I have no intention of doing any of those things, I assure you."
"Right. Why else would anybody capture a fairy if not for one of those things?", she scoffs.
She seems intent on thinking that you have captured her for some nefarious reason. You could probably just use your power to **** her to bend to your will and gain whatever information or power you can from her, but, despite the darkness seeping into you from the gauntlet and your previous rough treatment of the fairy, you somehow feel sorry for the little fairy. Maybe it would be better to show a bit of mercy and properly explain things to her instead?
Do you try to gain the fairy's trust or just her to listen to you?
