"Dave... I'd love to, but... not tonight. I feel a bit tired. It would be nice to go to sleep early."
Dave looks disappointed, but withdraws his hand. First, he broods in silence, then he shrugs, and mumbles. "It's been weeks since we've last made love. You're always complaining about being tired, or too busy, or that you have a headache."
You frown. "Dave, I am just tired, really. I promise, everything will be alright."
You go to sleep.
