For now you assume your search for a secret escape has been thorough enough. They could, however, have entered through one of the passages. Had you chosen that way back then, they would have caught you anyway, and it was still only a 1/3 chance you would have chosen that.

Of course, chances are you are completely wrong. Or you could be right, but the other women are waiting on the other side. And even without all that, there is still a 1/2 chance you will land in yet another nefarious trap. More, if you consider the chances they might have already set something up in the other path as well.
