Chapter 68 by Blues32

Did Mai enjoy the ride?

Not particularly.

That's when I noticed that Mai looked a bit paler then usual. "Um...Mai? If you're gonna...you know...just do it in the trash can..." I said meekly. She glared at me, swallowing. "No...spinning," she said between clenched teeth. Oops...still, it was kinda funny. If she wasn't an expert knife thrower now suffering from intense nausea and dizziness, I might be tempted to actually laugh. I wasn't one for throwing knives, but even I knew you shouldn't try it while dizzy.

Helping her to a bench, I sat down with her. "I'm sorry, Mai...I didn't think you'd react so strongly," I said. Mai shook her head. "I don't know how you're NOT reacting like this. The whole place feels like it's spinning..." she replied, still looking green. Sighing, I patted her back.

Raising a hand in the form of a pledge, I sighed. "Alright, you have my word. The next ride will NOT involve going around in circles like that," I vowed. Mai brushed hair from her face and looked at me for a moment. "...it better not," she finally said. Phew...at least she wasn't demanding to go home.

I better choose the next ride carefully... A roller coaster so soon after the tea cups was probably NOT the best idea...what was intense...yet at the same time not likely to make you dizzy...?

Well, bumper cars, perhaps. But I wasn't sure how much Mai would enjoy that. Firstly, she'd have no idea how to drive it. Second, it would probably piss her off with all the people ramming her.

What about the freefall? You know, that ride that goes up, then suddenly drops? It's very controlled and all...and VERY intense. Sure to get the heart pumping.

Or maybe we should go with something more...romantic or something. Ferris Wheel or maybe even the tunnel of love...though riding in a swan might make Mai embarrassed...

Which to choose?
