“Alright, give me a minute.” Ephera sighed and closed her eyes. Not long after that she opened them and started reporting her discoveries. “There’s nothing else of interest apart from the blocked passage. As for the pentagram, all I can tell for sure is that it is the work of two people – probably one human male and one human female, but I can’t be certain. They are probably related – maybe brother and sister, maybe husband and wife, or maybe something else, but I can’t say for sure. There were several spells protecting the pentagram. All of them were destroyed by the same person – the mage that blocked the passage.”

“I see. So that’s how it is.!” Ciara exclaimed as she figured out the unknown mage’s trick. “The pentagram is a decoy. It is intentionally left unguarded in hopes that whoever comes looking will concentrate on it and miss the hidden passage. Clever. And? What about the unknown mage?”

“Unfortunately he – or perhaps she – possesses an item that protects him against any sort of magic that would reveal information about him. Based on what’s left of his aura I can tell that it is a single person and that he is a very powerful and skilled mage. But that’s all. This item has also affected the traces from the auras of the pentagram makers, and thus I cannot tell much about them. Sorry.”

“That’s alright. Can you at least find them?”

“Of course. It’ll take a while to track them down, but I’m sure I can find the people that made the pentagram.”

“Then do so. I want to know who they are and why they needed the pentagram. I’ll worry about the elementalist later.”
