Matt decided that relying on his sister to protect him from bullies was not the solution to his problems. But she had a point. The guys probably wouldn't harass him if it would make them look bad with girls they were interested in. And they had to be interested in Tanya and Natasha. I mean, even Dr. Dyer was interested in those girls and he had to be over forty.

"Thanks for the offer," he told his sister, "but I'll be fine." He unwrapped her arm from his and headed to where he'd seen that shiny mix of blond and black hair that said the two hotties were gossiping.

"So," he said when he caught up with them, "did you get the assignments Cindi and I texted to you last night?"

Natasha wrinkled her nose like she'd seen a piece of crap on the ground and didn't want to step on it but Tanya gave him her best cheerleader grin. "I didn't see it, Matt." She giggled. "Maybe I didn't give Cindi my right phone number."

He held up a hand. "Hey, no problem. I know you guys can ace biology without our help, but we figured you guys were both busy and might be distracted."

"We're not guys," Natasha said.

"Yeah, you know. I sort of noticed that. Anyway, give me your number and I'll re-text you the assignment Cindi and I did. That way, you can copy it down in your own handwriting. I'd do that for you but neither of you... women want to see my handwriting."

As he spoke, he navigated the girls toward their biology classroom.

Justin and Freddy, waiting in ambush, stepped out when Matt approached but Natasha held up a finger in warning.

"I'll give you my phone number but if you send me creepy messages or dick pictures, I swear I'll have Freddy tear your balls off."

"No dick pictures until you ask for them," Matt agreed.

"Which will be never."

"Like I said." He stepped into the classroom... alive, unbruised and with phone numbers from Tanya and Natasha. That had to be a win... right?
