Not a typical day

Morgan's eyes snapped open as she darted from the bed and rushed into the bathroom. She barely had time to lift the toilet lid as she fell to her knees and began to dry heave over the rim. Twenty minutes later Morgan returned to her bed feeling much better than she had only moments ago, but she wasn't going to think on it.

"Probably just some bad food." She mumbled to herself as sleep claimed her, Nelson rolled over and slipped his arm over her side and nestled up against her.

Morgan woke at her usual time just before her alarm and was in the middle of brushing her teeth when she felt nausea return. Like her earlier trip to the bathroom all she did was dry heave and once the feeling dissipated it was replaced with weakness.
"I feel like shit this morning. Anyway, I won't be in today." Morgan messaged her boss.

"That's fine, hope you feel better." Graham returned.

"Rin, you busy?" Morgan texted her friend.

"About to go to work why?" Corrine returned.

Nelson offered to stay home with his wife but she had insisted he leave and that her friend Corrine was coming by to keep her company anyway.
"Okay. Let me know if you need anything." Nelson had said before leaving.

Corrine was pulling in just as Nelson had been getting into his car, the two exchanging a friendly wave as they passed each other in the driveway. She watched him pull out and drive off as she gathered some of the things she picked up from the store before heading in to check on her sickened friend. Morgan had been resting in the living room, laying on her side and wrapped in a blanket when Corrine came in.

"Hey you." Corrine whispered gently as squatted down beside Morgan.

"Hey, bitch." Morgan mumbled with a weak grin.

"I brought you soup, coffee, and I know you're going to kill me, but I also brought a pregnancy test." Corrine recoiled from her friend.

"Oh fuck you. No." Morgan shook her head, laughing as she pushed herself up. "I..." She paused remembering her recent lover, Cory.

"You're thinking about it." Corrine grinned. "Come on, you go on up and take it, and I'll get the soup started."
