Normality

A few minutes after you fall asleep, the blue cat lifts it's head up, looks at you through slitted pupils, purrs, and flicks it's tail around. It genuinely cares for its new master and would protect it at all costs. It just doesn't understand why Master is so scared of the cat. What had the cat done to him? The cat wondered why Master hated the latex so much. Maybe that was it. But once Master saw the magic of the latex, he wouldn't be so scared anymore.

There was a creak at the doorway, and the cat's ears swivelled at the sound. Turning, it saw the purple wolf in the doorway, fangs bared. The cat whips around in bed, immediately going into defensive mode. It bares it's rubber fangs and hisses, making sure to not be so loud as to awake Master. The wolf growls and takes a step into the room. The cat lashes out at the air in front of the wolf with one thick rubber paw. The wolf growls but backs off. It turns and leaves the house. It has better things to do than waste time trying to get a new recruit to return. That was the problem when the turned into domestics: they always felt love and affection for the first human they saw after they had transformed. The wolf leaves your house and enters the one three doors down from yours. The screams of the occupants are quickly silenced as three more latex anthros enter the world.

Content that it has protected Master, the blue cat rests it's head on its forepaws and sleeps for a while. It wakes up around 4 AM and is glad to see that you are still asleep. The sky outside your window is grey with a few streaks of lemon and orange light echoing off in the east. It leaps off the bed and walks out of your bedroom, purring, ready for a day of transformation and playtime with Master. But first, preparations.

The morning sun shining in through your window wakes you up. You open your eyes, close them, and open them again. You glance at the clock on the bedside table and notice that it is 7:16 AM. Your window is filled with a beautiful late summer sunrise. You're about to get up when all the memories of the events of last night flood into your mind. Latex puddles. Wolves. Cats. Breathing heavily, you close your eyes and sit up in bed, wondering if the blue cat-thing was still there, on the foot of your bed, waiting for you to wake up just so it could transform you while you were alive. You open your eyes and find, to your relief, that it is gone. No blue puddles, no transformations, no cats.

Shaking your head and chuckling to yourself at being so afraid of a stupid dream, you get out of bed and head into the bathroom to take a shower.
