Nope; Lois Stays With Wonder Woman

"You might need my help," Lois said.

Lois smiled. "Promise?"

As it turned out, a couple of the women remembered the way out, and there were enough that were mobile that they could carry the ones that weren't without needing Lois and Diana's help. The reporter and the Amazon left the room and headed in the direction of the ominous chanting, while the former slaves beat a hasty retreat.

"So," Lois said in a whisper. "Do we have a plan?"

"Find the demon behind this, break off her horns, and shove them up her arse sideways," Diana whispered back.

"Okay, but if there's more than one demon...or if she starts to overpower you..." Lois said.

"She won't. I got caught be surprise last time. This time I know what I'm doing," Wonder Woman insisted.

Lois shook her head. She was too much her father's daughter, and well remembered General Sam Lane's talk about strategy and tactics. "Love, you're naked, without your bracers or lasso, and we're about to crash a party with an unknown number of cultists. Let's just stop and think of a plan of attack..."

The Amazon hesitated. They were right outside the chamber now. Light spilled out into the hallway they were in, and Diana carefully angled her head so that one eye could peak around the corner as inobtrusively as possible.

A naked, crimson female figure with dark horns stood before an altar. There was a squat-bellied, gravid idol, ugly and crude on it, and the golden lasso was looped around its neck land pendulous breasts like a necklace. The Amazon's costume and bracers were laid out on the altar.

There were at least thirty or forty naked men and women following the demon's directions. "Okay," Diana admitted. "Maybe we need a plan."
