Chapter 81 by sexyslave sexyslave

Is Izuku in last place in this one?

Nope, he scored well, but some questions are raised.

Izuku immediately looked at the last place slot, and sighed in relief as he saw a Minoru Mineta's name there instead of his own, though also a twinge of guilt that his pass meant someone else's failure. His own name was in thirteenth, above Tsuyu Asui, and below Rikido Sato. He looked for Ochaco's name and found that she had scored tenth place, her score on the ball throw and the standing long jumps carrying her score quite far. Though she had looked nauseated after the latter one. He felt a surge of pride for her as he resumed looking. He found Momo's name at the top, feeling another surge of pride, and out of curiosity, looked down to find Bakugo in third.

Which he was quite grateful for, as now Bakugo was nice and distracted from his initial rage at Izuku right now, now focused on the fact that the girl who had messed with him twice had scored highest, and someone else had beaten him to boot.

"NNNNNOOOO!!!" Mineta screamed. "I can't get expelled! How am I going to become a popular Hero and get girls to let me touch their boobs if I get kicked out!?"

"..." Izuku was suddenly feeling a LOT less guilty about not scoring last. That HAD to be one of the least noble reasons to become a hero he had ever heard of. He then briefly wondered if that made him a hypocrite, given how he knew he was probably going to have a full blown harem before long... Nah, that was never his reason for becoming a Hero, that was more along the lines of personal relationship goals, and he still had respect for women. Plus, it wasn't like he needed to become a Hero if he wanted to go the route of manipulating women for his own ends, which he didn't, he had Momo to help build the harem, and it was mostly her idea anyway. Becoming a Hero was about helping people for him.

"...you wanted to become a Hero... Just to impress girls?" Ochaco looked at Mineta in disbelief. She shivered as she imagined a world where the little gremlin had found Momo's lamp... Her mental world proceeded to do her the disservice of providing a mental image of him using an all too willing Momo to enslave girls to his own harem, uncaring of consent, Ochaco included. She knew full well she'd have been a target, given she shared classes with him, and sincerely doubted he had even a fraction of Izuku's restraint and genuinely kind nature.

Momo had similar thoughts, knowing that she would have happily done anything Mineta asked had he found her lamp. This didn't diminish her enthusiasm for being a genie, she had accepted the possibility of ending up in the wrong hands, but she definitely appreciated that Izuku was the one who had gotten his hands on it... And that there was next to no chance of it being stolen.

Funny aside, the lamp was also pretty grateful it hadn't been Mineta. Not because it cared about morals, it was a being above good and evil and it just did as its nature designed it, but because it would have had to have expended more energy to ensure Momo would still prefer her enslaved state by fueling her with more pleasure and submissiveness. There was a reason good people tended to find it with a genie in it more often than bad people, it was simply more practical for it.

"Oh, by the way, I was lying about one of you being expelled," Aizawa said, deactivating the screen.

"Huh!?" the class shouted in shock... And the girls a bit of outrage that Mineta wasn't being kicked to the curb.

"It was just a rational deception to get you all to give it your all," Aizawa continued. Just as Mineta slumped in relief however, Aizawa snagged him in his capture scarves, and dragged Mineta over, glaring at him with his Quirk. "That being said... Don't think you're not the first one on the chopping block if you don't work on improving yourself. Both in your abilities and attitude."

"Ye-yes sir!" Mineta squealed in terror, sweating bullets, this mollifying the girls somewhat. Aizawa released a thoroughly terrified Mineta, who hastened to scramble away.

"Good job, Izuku!" Ochaco said in her bubbly manner approaching him.

"I mean, it wasn't that great... I was still in the lower half... You and Momo did way better," Izuku chuckled sheepishly. "I should be the one congratulating you both..."

"Actually, I'm just glad you didn't hurt yourself... Actually, you never did tell us about your Quirk," she seemed to realize, and Izuku stiffened up, realizing that many other classmates, Bakugo included, were paying close attention.

Only one word came to Izuku's mind: "Shit!"

Can he come up with a decent cover story on the spot?
