I approach the pink-haired girl after her fight. "Hi there." She shouts while visibly jumping and once again draws her huge ass sword, this time pointing it at me. I raise my two gloved hands, "Woah, woah, woah. Sorry to scare you. I was hoping you could help me."

The girl eyes me suspiciously, "No way. Guys like you in these type of areas only want one thing, to PK." She replies. I look visibly confused and raise an eyebrow, "Huh? PK? I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about. You see, I just got here, and..." The girl interrupts me with a question, "Wait, just got here?" I nod in response. "Yep." Silence for a moment, "Wait, are you a newbie?"

I'm at least familiar with the term newbie. Fresh meat. It might be dangerous to say yes here, but if I say no, she'll likely leave me to my own devices. I decide it's worth the risk and respond with a confirmation, nodding my head. "Yes, that's right."

"YOU DO REALIZE THIS IS A HIGH LEVEL AREA, RIGHT!?! DID YOU NOT SEE THE WARNING AT THE CHAOS GATE!? ARE YOU DUMB???" The tirade of lecturing goes on for a bit, but I wave my hand. "I don't know. I really just got here. The first thing I saw was past that field over there with those goblins."

She looks on, incredulous. "The system doesn't just spawn new players in an area like this! You should have gone to Mac Anu." She says. "Well, that's what happened, and here I am. So, can you help me out?" I ask again. She groans, "Fine. Come on. Stay close and let me do all the fighting."

"Thanks." I reply. "By the way, my name's Kougyoku." "BlackRose." She replies in kind. "Now come on.. let's get you to Mac Anu." I follow BlackRose, watching her fight enemies on the way inside the temple. As we approach a large beast statue with a chest, I compliment her. "You're pretty good. I wouldn't mind teaming up with you again. Would you mind helping me some more with showing me the ropes?"

"Thanks, and no. Once we get in town I will be introducing you to Silabus, the leader of the Canard guild. They specialize in helping newbies like you." Drat, you think. You'd sure like to get some of that ass. In time. "Too bad." I say. "I was looking forward to seeing your skills." "Gain some levels first, and we'll see." She says. After collecting the chest in front of the beast statue, she approaches a pedestal with a green orb on top. "Well, come on." She says. "Activate the town portal and choose return to town." She says, holding out her hand towards the orb.

I follow along, holding my gloved hand towards the orb. A menu appears.... (Below)
