None other than the Vampire

“Uhm…My name is M…Moka Ayano.” My blood ran cold and I looked up to find that Moka was staring right at me. For a moment she broke her shy act and winked at me but only for a second. No one else seemed to notice. Ms. Nara said to the class, “I expect you all to show respect and kindness to Ms. Ayano and show her around school.” She looked around. “Now, there is an open spot in front of Mr. Tskune Takeya. You may sit there.” Moka shyly walked towards the seat next to me and brushed her hand against me. I flinched feeling her aura. She sat down and class soon began as normal but I couldn’t concentrate throughout the day. ‘Coincidentally’ Moka was in every class I had. My only relief was at lunch when I could clear my head and relax.
After getting my food I scanned the room and found the table Kaidae and I usually sat at near the corner. She was already waiting for me there and I sat down relieved to be able to relax and let out a sigh. “Hey I think I see that Mizore girl.”Kaidae said. I looked and saw Mizore standing in the middle of the lunchroom looking for a spot to sit awkwardly as she was new to this school. She spoted us and started to walk over. “Hey Tskune.”Mizore greeted quietly “Is it alright if I sit here?” She asked. “ Uh, sure Mizore.”I said with a nervous smile as I though back to the last evening’s events. She scooted in next to me a bit close with our shoulders touching like at the library. “Oh…uh sorry.” I said and scooted away a bit. “That’s ok.”She said and subtly scooted back towards me. I began to eat and noticed Kaidae was eyeing me oddly. “What is it?” I asked. She snapped out of her gaze. “Oh, uh nothing. Sorry! ” As we ate she casually asked me “So what do you think of the new girl?” I coughed a bit realizing she had been on my mind all day. “W…what about her?” I asked. She rolled her eyes. “Don’t play dumb. I mean half the guys were drooling all over her.” She said. “Oh I don’t know I guess she is pretty.” Kaidae smiled amused and shook her head “You know, sometimes I don’t get you.” I shrugged. “So did you talk to her today?” She asked “No. Not really. Like you said most of the guys were kinda surrounding her so it’s not like I would have gotten the chance right?” I laughed. “I guess that’s true.” Kaidae agreed. The truth was most of the guys kept their distance for some reason and just watched her when they thought she wasn’t looking. But she was always looking - especially at me. Lunch continued like normal and besides some small talk between Kaidae and her, it seemed Mizore was a quiet person around other people like Kaidae. We made plans to hang out at Kaidae’s place after school which was normal and she invited Mizore. As we left for our classes I felt a chill and knew somewhere in the crowded hall Moka was watching me.
