Non-standard procedures

"Aw wight evewyone, as we entow the fathiwity, you'll get in wine by thex." Thindy lectured, walking backwards while talking to us; a routine I'm sure she must have practiced...

Earlier, when Thindy and I arrived at the main lobby of the dorm, the rest of the freshman in the building had assembled; all just as nude as us. Thindy began telling us that we would be led to the school's main laboratory and student processing center, where we would be issued our dorms, roommates, and first freshman injections.

As we walked, I couldn't help ogling the other students. There were about twenty of us, and this was the first time I had been around so many naked bodies. The campus was relatively empty, and looked about the same when I toured it earlier this year. Except, as we walked up the quad, a large sleek building came into view which was entirely absent from my memory. Its glass exterior contrasted greatly with the older campus buildings, and imposed itself as the clear focal point.

As we entered, it became clear that the outside glass of the building was opaque, entirely obscuring the happenings inside. Thindy confidently walked up to a panel of the glass exterior wall, which promptly opened in response. She turned around and beckoned for us to follow.

Our group entered the building into a large open lobby. Each side of the lobby had a line of students feeding two doors, marked male and female respectively. At each door was an attendant interviewing the students as they entered. The lines showed the differences in sex ratio that my wish had enacted. The female line was almost to the door, while the male line had barely a hundred guys. As we filled into our lines, there was nothing to do but wait.

I was the last male student in line, and by the time I got to the door, it seems all the attention was on me. I could feel the eyes on the other side of the room sizing me up. The attendant smiled at me, looked at her clipboard, and asked "Alex, right?" I nodded in response. "Well, it's your lucky day! You have been selected for a very special freshman package; the details of which I cannot disclose at this time. Please enter the door and follow the gentlemen inside." She said, still smiling at me.

Everything about this seemed wrong, even the attendant's smiling face. But without many other choices, I entered the door into a rather unassuming hallway. Inside, were two more attendants, this time men. "Follow us to the treatment center" the one on my right instructed, and turned down the hall.

The hall lead us down a winding path through the complex, until finally we entered another room marked 'Reassignment Center'. The words sticking in my brain like barbs. "Reassignment to what?" I worried. Inside the room was nothing but rows of glass cockpit-like pods. Each containing a metal seat, which would be enclosed by a glass bubble. I looked around at the other pods, several of which were closed, and too dark to make out their contents.

"Maybe it's time to back out of this" I thought to myself. The attendant motioned to get into the nearest pod. I took a step back, into the other attendant. "Come on, last chance to go willingly. This is part of your student contract." one of them explained, as if annoyed by my hesitation. Before I could make a decision, I was pushed into the pod. The bubble slammed shut on queue, prompting the bubble to flood with fluid. I began to panic and cried out "I want to undo this wish!" my vision flashed red in response.

The sound of rushing fluid still filled my ears. "Why didn't that do anything?" I cried. The fumes from whatever was filling the tank started making me lightheaded. Consciousness left me before the fluid reached my navel.
