Noir and Pam... what a pair

You reach the base of the tree again when you've decided. "Can you call down Noir?" you ask the clerk. "Or can we go back up?"
"No need," the clerk grins. He points up, where apparently Noir's keen ears have cued her to glide down and land before you. She smiles meekly, enough for a fang to poke out. Pam grins wider, her fangs unignorable.

"Don't worry," you say soothingly to Noir as you slip the collar on. "You're with me now. Nobody'll hurt you."
"Unless I ask?" Noir says, a hint jokingly and a little hopefully.

You and Pam both laugh, and Noir seems to loosen up. You seem like you'll each get along great. You hope.
