Despite the temptation, despite every fibre of his body aching to do as his wife wished and fully take charge of everything and relish in the power and pleasure that would be afforded to him, Jon could not betray his family like that. Margaery did not initially respond well, but eventually her umbrage faded and life between them settled into a kind of normalcy. Jon went about his life serving as Hand of the King and for a time the realm prospered under the brothers dual management. Many months later Jon and Margaerys were blessed with a son, named Rhaegar in honour of the late king.

Things settled into a time of joy, until one day whilst out riding with Loras and some of the Tyrell retinue, Jon found himself set upon by a group of attackers. The fighting was was ferocious and Jon slew many of them, but ultimately fell to a blade. Not of the enemy,but rather from beyond by Loras. The Knight of Flowers looked forlorn, but not before driving his sword through Jon’s heart. He died on the side of the road, his blood mixing with the dirt. A few months later, both Tyrell siblings found themselves in Aegon’s bed, their plans beginning anew
