Chapter 10
by KingOfBohemian
So do you?
No.
No, there was no way. You had just been caught staring at this teen girl, or you supposed she would be a young adult by now but either way that was super fucking creepy to just stare at her like she was a public art display.
You walked home as fast as you could and sometimes even found yourself jogging because walking just didn't do the job of getting away fast enough. Once you did get home, you quickly made sure all the doors were locked and the curtains in front of the windows were drawn shut. There was no possible way that you could go back down that street. You wondered if you could even read the diary again knowing now that at least one of those two girls knew what you looked like.
That didn't make sense though, you thought to yourself, neither of them knew that you had the book. Thinking of the book made you suddenly start to feel paranoid that someone might look into your windows when they're not shut and see the book. So you picked it up off of the table that was its home in your house and relocated it to a bookshelf where the blank spine blended in nicely.
A few days passed after that and the encounter that happened with the blonde girl, Riley, escaped your mind. That was until you looked over at your bookshelf one night and all the events that had transpired came flooding back into your brain. The memories didn't feel real, so you had to ask yourself over and over;
Did that really happen?
