Has Natalya Hired The Mora Before?
No
Natalya approaches the enigmatic group, none of them seem to have a drink or a meal on their tables, they don’t appear to be communicating with each other in so far as Natalya can understand it, they are each lost in their own tasks, some cleaning their weapons, or disassembling them only to put them back together, again and again.
“Baba Yaga, we have heard you have entered the city.. this meeting was inevitable.” States one of the women as she slide a banana magazine into her rifle.
“You have heard of me, good, that makes introductions easier.” Replies Natalya, folding her hands behind her back.
“We know more than who you are, we know what brought you to Novosibirsk and why you cannot leave. The only question that remains being whether you wish someone dead or wish to know something you shouldn’t.” The woman’s voice is emotionless, the only thing evident in her tone being boredom.
“You know much about me but I know nothing of you… with who am I doing business?” A lesson Natalya learned early into her career is that it’s always wise to know the name and face of your partners.
“To The Mora, information is a currency in its own right… how does it benefit me to give you something in exchange for nothing?” The question of course is rhetorical.
“And how is it you’ve come to know so much about me? I’ve only been in town a few days and have told no one of my situation…”
“Because it is our job to know, you are someone of note whether you like it or not which means we like to stay up to date on your affairs.” Replies the woman, frustration creeping into her tone as she speaks, as though explaining something obvious, something that everyone intuitively knows.
“Alright, what’s the price of your skills then?” Asks Natalya, satisfied with the enigmatic woman’s answer.
“Whether you want us to collect information or collect heads, the price is 1,000 rubles, we will accept no less, and needless to say, this is the price of 1 operation. You will need to earn the right to become proper partners with us.”
That’s quite a high price to pay for their services, especially considering that such a payment covers but one mission.
All that remains to be done is conclude the transaction, an exchange of money and instructions.
Conclude Transaction?
