Vanessa stands up and runs away from Tori. From everything. She can't even trust her own friend anymore. As far as Vanessa's concerned, her only friend is herself, and it's not even a good one at that.

In the days and weeks that follow, Vanessa becomes closer, more closed off than before and avoids everyone for what she believes is her own safety. Her body remained her own, but she still felt tainted from the experience.

Her life continues to shatter, after graduation she basically became shut off from the rest of the world, working odd jobs here and there but other than that only playing video games to numb her pain. Due her inactiveness, her stomach begins to more resemble her chest. She looks like a mobility scooter user.

One day, she begins crying, crying openly and heavily. Wondering to herself, what might have happened had she accepted help from her friend that day? How might her life had been different? None of that matters now. She has well and truly failed
