In an instant, Ramlethal felt herself being flung back, a burning sensation spreading throughout her chest. In the small gap that was between Ramlethal's body and the barrier she created, an explosion formed, hitting her directly in the chest. The Valentine flew backward, holding onto the brim of her hat, and came to a stop when she crashed into a now abandoned market stand. Wood splintered all over the place as the stand cracked and fell apart on top of Ramlethal, who was now buried underneath broken planks of wood.

In nearly the same second that Ramlethal became buried under planks of wood, the Valentine shot up from underneath the rubble, sending planks flying. Ramlethal floated slightly above the wreckage, her sharp teeth bared as she readjusted her hat and stared down Noel. She then looked down to examine the damage done to her, to which she grimaced upon seeing her waistcoat left a tattered mess, the neon green undershirt worn underneath it now being completely visible. With the waistcoat now being completely useless, Ramlethal opted to just tear it off of her, tossing the ruined piece of clothing down onto the pile of wood below her. Ramlethal then went back to glaring at Noel; she had figured out how those pistoles of hers worked—they pierced through space, a truly annoying ability.

Arcus Diabolus: Bolverk, the third Nox Nyctores to be created, was one of the few Nox Nyctores to be made that didn't have its core removed after the dark war. Like all Nox Nyctores, Bolverk was formed using human souls and is considered to be the ultimate form of Ars Armegis. Each Nox Nyctores had a unique ability to make it stand out, with Bolverk's being the creation of an Ars Magus blast that pierces through space, ignoring distance and obstacles in order to hit its user's desired target. Additionally, Bolverk would seal away any negative emotions of its user, eliminating fear or anxiety to prevent reckless actions from being performed. Noel had been well acquainted with the set of pistols, having had them by her side since she was a child, and became further proficient with them after her academy training for the NOL.

Green eyes met with amber as the two girls locked eyes for a second before Ramlethal flew forward at a near-incomprehensible speed. She needed to move faster than Noel could pull her triggers, so focusing on speed would be key to winning this fight. The Valentine recalled one of her swords to her side, commanding the other to prepare for an attack. As Noel raised a pistol up to fire another shot at Ramlethal, the platinum-blonde girl would perform an arm sweep, causing the sword she didn't recall to perform a horizontal swipe at the former NOL lieutenant. The sword crackled with green energy as it swung at Noel, the blonde having barely any time to react as shock formed on her face. A dust cloud formed upon the greatsword as it made contact with Noel, obscuring the clone from Ramlethal's sight.

Ramlethal continued to advance toward Noel, and once she got to a certain distance, she landed on the ground, her built-up momentum causing her to slide. Ramlethal stamped her foot down in front of her to slow herself down, causing her large thigh to jiggle. She then pulled her arm back, preparing a command for her other sword, causing the greatsword's blade to extend as it floated overhead of its master. As Ramlethal did this, the dust cloud cleared up, revealing Noel Vermillion without a single scratch on her, her arms raised up, and a pair of blue, circular barriers in front of her, protecting her against the greatsword that clashed against them. Noel struggled a bit as the sword pushed against them, her teeth clenching.

The blonde then took notice of Ramlethal in front of her, her pupils dilating as she saw the Valentine throw her arm forward, commanding her other sword to stab down at Noel. Thinking fast, Noel let out a coarse grunt as she pushed against the first sword with her barrier, shattering her defense and halting the sword's attack completely. The Nox Nyctores user then turned her attention to the other great sword, which darted down toward her, poised to impale her. Noel raised both her Bolverk at the sword and let out a hail of shots at it, the explosions knocking the sword back.

Before Noel could even let out a sigh of relief, her opponent dashed forward and swiped at Noel's face with her unbandaged hand. To Ramlethal's surprise, Noel dodged the attack, spinning to her left before pistol-whipping the left side of the Valentine's face. Ramlethal recoiled back a bit from the strike before shrugging off the pain and readying herself to attack once more. But before she could do that, she was met with Noel raising her right leg up, giving Ramlethal an upskirt view of Noel's underwear, which wasn't what she was focused on as she quickly leaned back to avoid an axe kick from the blonde, whose heel crashed into the brick road, cratering it.
