“I don’t think so,” Billy said. “Since she wasn’t answering the door. Hang on, I’ll text her.”

Awkward as it was to text his little sister after last night’s knockout and domination, Billy couldn’t exactly tell Kristen about that. Besides, maybe the first step to getting his family rep back was acting like everything was totally normal.

Billy noticed his phone on the floor of the living room, and picked it up quickly before Kristen noticed it. It must have fallen out of his boxer shorts’ pocket when Anna knocked him out last night. Billy blushed beet red and opened it up to message his little sister.

Kristen dropped herself onto the couch, familiar enough with the house to feel at home herself. After a few minutes, Billy came to her.

“Uh, she’s out right now. Mom’s taking her for a special lunch.”

“Oh. Will she, like, be long?”

“I think so. It sounds like they’re celebrating.”

“Hang on, give me your phone, let me text her.”

Kristen held out her hand expectantly. Billy glanced down at the open messages on his screen.

BILLY: where r u? kristen at home

ANNA: Out with mom. She wants to celebrate with me some more. We came to your room, but you were sleeping.

ANNA: You seem to be doing a lot of that. ;)

BILLY: whatever.

ANNA: Watch the attitude or I’ll knock you out again.

“Can't you just use your phone?” Billy asked. Kristen shrugged nonchalantly.

“‘Kay!”

Pulling her phone from her handbag, she kicked up her feet to lay on the couch text her friend. She really did feel at home here. Billy breathed a sigh of relief.

“I’m going to my room. Let me know if you need anything,” he said.

“Kaykay!” Kristen replied, cheerily, not taking her eyes off of her phone screen. Billy headed up the stairs to his room.

He hoped Anna wouldn’t start sharing what he told her last night. Or what she’d done to him beforehand. But it wasn’t like she could do it later if she was going to, anyway. Actually, right now might be the best time for it, since Heather wouldn’t let her text for too long while they were having a special lunch. If Anna did talk about beating Billy at boxing, she wouldn’t be able to go into much detail - that’s if she even wanted to start sharing it.

Still, Billy didn’t go undisturbed. After only a few minutes, the girl with the heavy chest and the gorgeous face had a special task for him.
