Might as well eat in you think to yourself.

'Come join us officer' Ray beckons you over to join him and his pal.

You head over to their table and sit down to join them.

'I'm Richard, Richard Power' Ray's elderly accomplice tells you.

'You can call me Dick though, all my friends do'

Dick Power you think to yourself, if he was at school now he'd be teased something rotten with a name like that.

'How long have you been in Redburn Dick?' you enquire

'Oh not long, a couple of months now. Came down here to retire. I've known Ray here since we were at school. I used to live here until I went off to university'

'Oh so you two are old pals then?'

'Yes, very much. Some of the stories we could tell you officer' Ray interjects before giving you a cheeky wink

'I bet' you try to stop yourself from blushing but can feel your cheeks glowing red.

Further conversation follows as you learn more about Ray and Dick although fortunately nothing too graphic you think to yourself. The more the conversation flows however you get a pretty good idea the two were pretty likely lads and even still now are both charmers. If they were 40 years younger you think to yourself.

Dick then excuses himself and heads to the bathroom while you and Ray continue to chat. Even for a guy in his 80s Ray is still a handsome man. He dresses very well and clearly takes time to ensure he looks as good as he can. Despite his age he still has a quite thick grey head of hair, smoothly shaven well defined face and piercing blue eyes.

Finishing your coffee and doughnut you decide it's probably time to head off to the spa or garage. Before that though you probably should use the little girls room.
