No interruptions - No pulses

An hour passes faster than you would have thought. You spot Emily shuffling away from the store entrance as one of her co-workers starts closing the shutters.

With a jump and a shout you call attention to yourself so that she notices you. She is really surprised, and approaches you.

"John! Didn't expect you here! Weird day, right?"

"You could say it. Didn't have anything else to do so I thought I could take a moment to say hi in person."

You two are close friends, but outside of weekend it's hard to have conversations non via text.

"That's nice!" Her face get a little sad. "I'm sorry, but I'm a little busy at the moment... Catch you tomorrow?"

You take a couple steps back embarrassed, then say goodbye to her as she runs fast towards the mall entrance. You catch a glimpse of her as she approaches and kisses a man you don't know.
