What's next?
No idea
“I don’t know, how should I help you? You want help in the clinic? I could help here.”
Karlee laughs.
“I like the idea. You hanging around. Then again, if you help here, I’ve got a feeling many of the girls will suddenly acquire phantom strains. You know the kind only you’d be able to massage away. No. Can’t have that, however appealing it would be. Gives us the wrong kind of attention.”
“And also, I’m opposed to the Catholic Church, as all right-minded women should be. They’re against abortion, they’re against contraceptives, they’re against condoms, they’re against sex. But what do you expect when they’re led by men who have sworn off it.”
Karlee’s getting quite heated here. Her face is flushed with her anger.
“No, I’m not going to sign your petition. We shouldn’t let such men talk to our girls. They’ll fill their minds with nonsense. Nonsense they believe because they don’t know better. They talk about sex as a sin. Sex isn’t a sin. Sex is a natural part of life. They want women not to enjoy sex. Sex is pleasurable because we need it. They say sex only in marriage. I’m sorry, I don’t buy that. Sex is natural. Yes, marriage is important, it’s important for raising children, but why shouldn’t women enjoy sex before they get married.”
“No, I won’t sign your petition. I’m opposed to your petition. And any right-minded person should be.”
Well, that’s a no then.
