No harm in a watch

You put on the watch, and it automatically turns on, flashing a big welcome on its screen. The flight attendant scans it, and welcomes you aboard.

The plane is small but luxurious, with only eight passenger seats. Some were recliners, some at tables, all matching the deep red carpet on the floors and walls. You appeared to be the only passenger this time, as shortly after you were seated they announced takeoff procedures.

A small TV began playing, and you hit your first real hint about this resort:

This Island is completely owned, staffed, and maintained by the Lux organization, to give fantasy fulfillment to all our clientele desires. Be sure to keep track with our state of the art watches, as all purchases, tickets, and event notices will be accessible through them, plus a few surprises.”

The intro goes on to explain more sales pitchy stuff, without going into any useful info, so you tune it out. So it’s an adult resort... you wonder what sort of sexual trouble your friends have gotten into. Hell, maybe they just loved it and didn’t want to go? But it still seems strange, this feels like a very expensive place. How’s they afford it? Why did you get a free ticket? There is still a lot that hasn’t added up...
