No deal

Tav: "Im sorry, but Im not going to lead a bunch of people to their deaths for a little pussy."

Kahga: "Then the viper must strike. Zevlor's people will be evicted when the ritual is complete, safe road, or not."

I squeeze my lips together and nod.

Tav: "Im looking for Nettie."

Without a word, Kahga points further into the grove and enters into a discussion with Rath. Following the direction, I enter the next room, to find a dark skinned dwarven woman standing over an injured bird.

Nettie: "I see you, just a moment."

With a flash of magic, the bird chirps and Nettie turns to face us.

Nettie: "Thanks for your patience, what can I do ya?"

Tav: "Im looking for Nettie."

Nettie: "Youve found her, but I still dont know what I can do for ya"

Tav: "I need help. Im told youre a healer."

Nettie: "Master Halsin isnt around, but I suppose I can have a look. Im his apprentice."

She motions to a seat, and I take a seat so that we're eye level. She spreads her legs and stands over one of my legs, looking into my eyes.

Nettie: "You look fine to me. A liiittle tired around the eyes maybe."

Tav: "Please, look closer. Something crawled in."

Nettie: "Crawled in? Did it look like a tadpole? Straight out of your nightmares?"

Tav: "Thats right"

Nettie: "Come with me."

She leads us through to another room, and gestures to another seat. Once again I take another seat, and Nettie steps up with a branch in hand.

Nettie: "How long has it been since you were infected?"

Tav: "A few days"

Nettie: "Any Developments?"

Tav: "Ive had psychic links with other infected."

Nettie: "That is strange... most infected dont know theyre infected until too late. And definitely no psychic visions... look, I cant help you"

Tav: "What about that branch?"

Nettie: "Its coated in a poison. In case you turned out to be a problem. But, you seem like a decent fella so, here. Wyvern poison. Promise me you'll drink it if you feel ANY changes."

Tav: "...OK"

Nettie: "Promise me!"

Tav: "I promise."

Nettie: "Thank you. Now, I know you dont know me, so that promise isnt worth much, but... I think I know how to change that. You two dont have to be here for this."

Shadowheart: "Excellent idea. There's no help to be found here."

Shadowheart and Lae'zel turn and leave the room.
