No but she's rescued

It was hopeless. I couldn't get out of this thing. My costume had completely melted away and my skin was starting to turn read from the irritatiation. I was going to die!!! I WAS TOTALLY GOING TO DIE!!!! Then all of a sudden, the mouth opened and a hand grabbed me and pulled me out of the mouth. No sooner than the cool air hit me I found myself dunked in water. I felt instant relieve as I felt to the digestive juices flow away from my body. I came up for air. "Oh thank you thank you! I thought I was going to...."

I looked up to see none other than Superbboy. He was Superbman's young brother and former partner. THough recently they had parted ways. He was boyishly handsome and his blue costume with silver accents showed off his muscular body. I was at a loss for words. Of all the superheroes, this was the one I had the biggest crush on. "I guess I made it just in time. Are you okay ma'm?" ma'm? I'm not ma'm I'm Nova GIrl. A fellow....then I remembered. I wasn't wearing my Nova Girl costume anymore.....I was naked in front of Superbboy. I instantly covered myself up turning away with a blush on my face. This is not how I was hoping to meet him.

He must have sense my discomfort because he took off his cape and gently wrapped it around me. He then pulled up out of the water and held me in his arms like a princess. "Don't worry, you're safe." He then started floating back up through a whole in the ceiling. Under normal circumstances, I would have been in heaven but I was more embaressed then anything. "What happened to The Flourist?" "I was about to catch her but then she told me about you. I had to make a choice: Catch her or save you. Spoiler Alert: I saved you and she got away." This hamulating. Not only had the bad guy gotten away but now I was just some helpless girl in the arms of a superhero.

"Are you okay Ms. James?" He knew my name? Strange. "I'm sorry. She got away because of me." "These things happen. It's just part of the job." At this point, we where flying high over the city. I wish I was Nova Girl. This could have been romantic. "Where do you live? I'll take you home." I directed him to my apartment. We touched down and he set me on the ground. "There you go. Be safe now." he said as he started flying away. "Wait! Don't you want your cape back?" "No it's fine. I got spares. I could of sworn I saw him blush. "Oh.....could I at least thank you some how?" "No thanks nesscary Ms. James. Just glad you're safe." He then took off into the sky.

God this was frustrating. The superhero hunk of my dreams was right there and I didn't have a chance with him. After putting on some cloths I held his cape in my hands. I brought it to my face and took a deep smell, trying to get his scent. One of these days Superbboy. You are going to fall in Love with Nova Girl.
