Tav: "I dont need thanks. Keeping your daughter locked up was monsterous."
Komira: "Thank you"
She steps up and perches on her tiptoes to plant a kiss on my cheek, before skipping away.
Lae'zel: "Shadowheart and I are going to scout the path ahead"
Shadowheart: "Excuse me? You and I? Alone? Arent you worried Im going to stab you in the back?"
Lae'zel: "Tav's assistance isnt necessary. Perhaps Ill use the time to bury you instead."
The two of them turn and walk away, still bickering between themselves. Utterly gobsmacked, I spin on the spot, looking for something to do.
Aimlessly wandering through the villiage, I find out the hard way that the kids of the town are scam artists, each with their own jobs. As I wander, the wind picks up and carries a sweet but janky melody to my ears.
Following my ears up yet another hill, I see a blue skinned, purple haired teifling woman strumming at a lute and singing intermittently.
Tav: "What are you singing?"
Alfira: "Oh, its a song I'm working on. But the words just arent coming to me."
Tav: "Perhaps I can help. Im something of a bard myself."
Alfira: "Oh Lovely! Here, take a seat"
