No One!

David slowly looked up to the family. No one was pleased. Least of all was Kody, his ears still prominent as ever. David tried to smile, hoping just maybe he could get them to cooperate. “So. Who wants to help me?”

Greg glanced to his token his face displeased. David let out a nervous laugh as he held out three cards. “I have three cards here that aren’t the worst. They are Edged, Hot, and Werewolf.” Kody growled at the mentioning of werewolves. He was tired of having wolf traits, he was tired of being treated like a wolf. Caiden’s tendency to **** his wolfish changes was aggravating. No matter how hot it was…

Caiden looked to Kody with a small bit of apprehension. “Either we all take one or no one. Sorry Uncle it’s just- I don’t want to have us punished in case someone doesn’t grab.” David frowned and turned to Greg, who was frowning.

“Hot card you say?” David nodded and placed it face up on the table. Greg mumbled out the card, his eyebrows scrunched. Then he looked up to his two sons, realizing Kody wasn’t happy. “Nevermind.”

David turned to Kody with a pleading face. “Please, you don’t need the werewolf card. Hell I’ll give you whatever you want. Just take one, please?” The wolf’s ear flicked. The tokens on the board slowly stood up on shaky feet. “Please, Kody! The others will grab if you do. Just-“ The nephew growled out making his opinion clear.

David turned to Caiden who shook his head. With a looming failure on his head David turned back to Greg. “Please, Greg?” Greg sadly reached out and grabbed a card. The board rattled before letting out a blinding light.

As the light hit his skin David let out a scream. A loud, ear piercing screech. It felt like every nerve in his body had alit with flames as the light passed over him. When the flash died down his skin was left red, as if it was scrubbed raw then left in the sun. In the center of the board sat a singular red card.

David looked at his hand, noticing all the other punishments were still there. They were now his. David wanted to cry. Still he reached out with his red hand and took the curse card. The doe skipped forward ten spaces. He quietly read it for the others to hear, “RiskConsequences; For each card you didn’t give out, amplify their affects.”

David looked back to the five cards still in his hand. Only now there was more text on each of them. He turned back to the new card, reading the rest of it. “If you failed with every single card still in hand gain this new curse. Curse- RiskTaker; You always want to choose the risky option, even if you know you shouldn’t.”

David set the card down and looked at his family. Everyone stared at him with wide eyes. “Why did you scream?” David glared at Greg.

“I don’t know what happened but I just felt like fire was on me. I mean I am red now!” David waved his red hand as an example. Kody stared at his uncle, his own body growing hot. Maybe it was the fact David was now crimson red, or the new horns now on his Uncle’s head. But it was most likely the fact David was now a hunk, just as or even fitter than himself.

“Your more than hot.” Kody let his body rumble out the words. David quickly turned to face Kody, his eyes furrowed. “You must be the sexiest demon.” Kody yelped when Caiden yanked his collar back. “Hey!”

“No ogling our uncle. No matter what.” Caiden glanced to David who was progressively looking more confused. Caiden spoke to David, “You are a hot demon, plain and simple. I blame your Hot card.”

David blinked and looked down to the Hot curse. Sure enough there was an extra word in front of it now, ‘Red Hot’ was the title. It made him worried to check the other changes. Still he figured he should.

What was Edged was now Ghostly Gooning. He bit back a groan when he felt a hand squeeze on his balls. David wasn’t sure what was happening, but he figured it had to do with the card he just glanced at.

Werewolf’s title didn’t change. So he had to look for any change in the text. Sure enough there was now an actual description. “Curse- Werewolf; Become a typical romance book werewolf. However anytime you see the full moon you loose control to lust.” David’s face fell. Would he even remember what happened if he lost control, and when will the next full moon even occur?

Kody looked between Caiden and David. With a small test he whined out a question. With a confused scoff David glared at Kody, “That was rather suggestive.” Kody felt his face flush red as he smirked. Caiden looked between the two frowning. Whatever just occurred he didn’t like it.

Luckily for him David was back to his cards. What was once just KinkyBoots was now even worse. “Curse- KinkyBoots; Everyday gain a new fetish that must be fulfilled by the end of the day. If not completed by the end of the day in some form grab a new curse card immediately.” Greg cringed just thinking about that card.

“That isn’t applying to today, is it?” David’s eyes widened as he thought of that. How would he even know what the fetish was to begin with? As if the game knew what he thought of the card shimmered in his hand.

He slowly looked at it, noticing nothing on the text side. He flipped it over cautiously only to see on top of the red background a single word. “Completed.” David closed his eyes in relief.

Of course that wasn’t his last card though. He once again looked at the cards to see the Cursed card. “Curse- Cursed; You have been cursed by heaven and hell. You can no longer handle being in the presence of a holy object and gain power with the more curses you grab in game. When anyone draws a curse card grab another one yourself, move 10 spots when picking up a curse card.”

With that David flipped back to the red hot card confused. “Curse- Red Hot; Gain the appearance of a devil, a hot one.” David looked at the two cards confused. “So, I’m basically a demon? Like for real?” Forever…

Greg looked at his brother with a frown. “I think the better question is wether that means the game emitted a holy light, or you were just feeling the changes. And if it did, is this game from the gods?” Everyone at the table blinked. Even the tokens on the board looked around confused.

David rubbed his temples trying to process the information. “Fucking hell Greg. How about you just read your card and then we can question reality as we know it.” Greg grinned holding up the card that had doomed his brother.
