No I'd like some answers

Curious I decide to turn the dial up. I watched as the Dial counted from 35% all the way to 100%. Once I hit the button on the side I thought that was all I had to do, so I turn back to my daughter and ask "So this is really a game controller?" Hoping for a real answer. As soon as my question echos I see my daughter depressingly slump forward and says "No.. thee stupid ad said it could alter reality." Hearing such conviction from my own daughter reassured me that this was working somehow, rather than play with it more my motherly instincts kick in and I probe for the origin of her sorrows. "Why on earth would you buy such a ridiculous thing dear." I ask her trying to see her eyes through her long sulked hair. She pulls herself back up, pulling her hair back in the progress and says, "Because I'm not actually straight mom I'm a lesbian." Her answer confuses me, I have always nurtured a highly loving and welcoming atmosphere in my household, What could have possessed her to keep this from me?

I move over to her and begin to console her. "Sweetheart why on earth would you keep such a thing from me." I begin watching her distance herself from me. "Because Everyone back in high school thought you were hot mom." She shouted at me. She had just graduated turning 18 before her last year even began. Why would any of this matter now? "and I agreed with them." she confesses before me. "Once I moved out the device was just going to give me closure, that I could just turn up the percentage of mother's into stuff like that and you'd want to do something with me. I thought once it didn't work I'd just give up the stupid fantasy." She explains. I watch in shock as she walks over to a vacant conner of the kitchen and crouches down.
