No Deal

The group didn't accept. They had found so many Vivingeer roots on the way and since there was still time, why should they go back already? Lia was sure they'd find enough to cover Cherry's reward and even surpass it, so they tactfully refused and went their way after looting the corpses.

Albeit it's called looting... there was nothing much to loot in the first place. The vermin had no money and there was no hope in selling the rags and branches used as armours and weapons.

They didn't know the goblin and babooches ears were worth money and since they didn't accept the deal, Cherry didn't take it upon herself to remind them, instead waiting for them to go before harvesting the ears herself.

If there was a winner among them, it was Niah'la. The girl found many Vananas on the babooches corpses and took them all, beaming and boasting about the love fruits she got.

It was like so that they made their way deeper in the forest, scavenging around for roots till it actually got quite late. It would take an hour or two before twilight, but it was unknown if they'd be able to reach town before night... well, they'd at least be out the forest before sun down if they began marching now, and so they did.

30 Vivingeer Roots. This meant 30 golden coins... 30 whole golden coins! A great result for their first quest.
