Chapter 34

CrocodileHAZARD
It's 2 on 1. Surely the odds are in your favor, right?
No. Not in the slightest.
To sum up the entire situation in a single word: Ouch.
Sure, the incarnation of Raven's Anger and repressed daddy issues is big and slow and has less subtly than a nuke, but he's still wiping the floor with you two.
After the first time you used your powers on him, Rage (which is what you'll likely be referring to him as considering its the one fucking word he can't stop using) constantly keeps an eye on you. Most of the time, he manages to steer clear of any precision based abilities you use, and even when you do get a shot in, he's capable of breaking out of it in just a few seconds. Raven is barely able to take advantange of it by the time he's already free. As a result, neither of you are making much of a dent against him.
You were already running on fumes. You can't really fire off any more abilities without severe consequences coming. But Raven alone clearly can't take him down.
But that gives you an idea.
"Raven," you begin "this...thing is a lpart of you, right?"
"Yes..."
"But it's only one part. I know you have at least seven others floating around here somewhere. Can't we get them helping out?"
"Even if I got them together, they're still not enough to defeat him."
"Together, or together?"
"I...don't follow..."
"Look, numbers don't seem to matter much against him. So don't focus on outnumbering him. He might be your strongest emotion, but he's not the only one. If you can't subdue your emotions, embrace them! Prove that your anger doesn't control you!"
Raven takes a moment to consider your words. After a minute or so, she looks you in the eyes with a determined glint in hers.
"Think you can buy me 5 minutes?"
"I'll distract him for as long as I can," is your reply.
She quickly flies off, and its just you and gruesome for what feels like forever. Without your powers to rely on, you're **** to get rather creative in how you keep his attention focused on you. Thankfully, the whole "Incarnation of Hatred" bit works out wonders in baiting him. Since all he can be is anger and rage, you just need to taunt and rile him up. Not exactly the smartest plan, but you need him to look at you and so thats what you do.
Still, despite being faster and more mobile than him, you have a fair share of close calls, several of which graze you enough to hamper your own movement. You desperately hope that Raven finishes whatever she needs to do, because you're not going to be able to dodge forever.
Eventually, one of his blows strikes true, and you are literally stomped into the ground beneath you. Weakened and exhausted, you aren't able to muster the strength to even pull yourself out. Things seem to be drawing to an end for you when Rage is suddenly blasted in the back and shoots forward well past your line of sight.
You crane your neck as much as you're able to and find Raven to be the source of the blast. Although the white cloack is new.
And you're pretty sure she wasn't giant sized either.
Raven's head is a trippy place...
Do you blackout, or can you remain conscious until the end of it?
