To ask for a miracle of love! (Pink Trigger)

The two looked at each other and spun away from me, ending up with their arms wrapped around each other's shoulders in a natural lock.

"Why, Zepar? Mister Player is but one!"

"Why, Furfur? Mister Player is as none!"

"To become two together...! That is your wish!" the two declared, spinning away from each other to finish in a flexible pose, each pointing the index finger of opposite hands at my face.

That sounded like a riddle. Wasn't I the one I asking the question? Still, I nodded. I needed a miracle of love that I knew only Zepar and Furfur could grant.

"Zepar, what can we do alone?"

"Furfur, what can only we do?"

"Mister Player... we can't do anything for you!" the two declared, still wearing bright grins.

What...? My surprise must have showed on my face. Those two laughed with only the faintest hint of apology. Their audience laughed with them.

"Mister Player," Zepar addressed me, finally calming down while still speaking in that boyish, theatrical voice. "We applaud the magic power and strong desire that allowed you to summon us!"

"However!" Furfur continued, grinning a bit teasingly... or hungrily? "Furfur and I only appear to grant our miracle to two in love!"

I told them that was exactly it. Throughout the course of my stories, while I'd only initially sought sex, I'd actually fallen in love many times. I was hoping that they-

"Mister Player!" Zepar interrupted, holding up one hand and looking serious. "The miracle of love is nothing to be taken lightly! Does love happen by accident?"

"Never!" Furfur continued, holding up his/her alternate hand and wagging a finger. "The miracle of love is an eternal blessing, a miracle granted only by fate!"

"And for the star-crossed, only by us!" the two concluded, joining their extended hands together, and beginning to tango.

I watched their dance with growing despair. What was happening here? Although I felt such love for these two, I couldn't begin to understand them. Perhaps that was why I couldn't control them... I needed to ask them why they couldn't grant me the miracle of love.
