Chapter 7 by ShadeWriter ShadeWriter

Should it spend more time scanning?

No. And The new morning

The program decided against scanning. What it had done thus far would be enough. Still, it had to make some alterations to both as per it's guidelines to better make them compatible. Anything else, well better to let the lovers figure it out.

The program started to warm up, warping and stretching the fabric of reality

Another day/night another shift for Mya. It was waitress this time if she recalled. God it would be embarrassing if she went to the wrong job for the wrong shift, again.

Get up, brush teeth, take a quick shower, and put on something… not as grungy and rebellious. If it was Pete and Jan’s she could maybe get a good cup of joe…., hmm. Was the bed normally this soft?

Mya cracked open her eyes, and was greeted with the sight of a high white ceiling and found the bed flanked with four large curvy white ... metal or maybe plastic? pillars. And each of these pillars were linked together with what looked to be light blue silk and white embroidered fabrics that hung elegantly from the pillars, allowing one to close the curtains on it. There was no way she'd fit a canopy bed in tiny place. And this was a LOT cleaner than her own run-down room. Looking around from where she was lying, it seemed the room followed this idea of white and blue, along with being made from plastic or metal. Maybe chrome. A lot of chrome.

A large entertainment center across from the bed, a wide closet and a few wardrobes, what seemed to be a balcony. Two other doors probably lead out to the rest of the place, and probably the bathroom; both also very well detailed and fancy looking. Just where was she and who was spending so much money?

Mya propped an arm up to push herself to a sitting position, puzzled by what was going on along with hoping to get a better view. But in doing so, she heard something next to her on the bed. The sound of someone rolling over. She felt the weight of something that rested on the bed shift and, with a glance, she looked over. A long metal rod was sticking out of some blankets. Odd.

"What on ..." She muttered to herself, poking the rod and inspecting it. It was about the size of her arm and ended in tubes on the end sticking out…. Wait a minute. Those were fingers. This was a hand and thus an arm? What was some metal arm doing here? Better question, what was it attached to?

Gulping, Mya took hold of the blanket the arm was under, and pulled it away. And was rewarded with... a rather pleasant sight.

The figure was a lovely sight with curvy athletic legs, wide hips, and an equally large firm ass that, which her thong did little to hide, looked like you could bounce a quarter off of it with ease. Moving upwards, was her toned narrow waist and further up, was the woman's chest that was D grade at the very least being held back by a black sports bra. All of this was easy to see as during her sleep, the woman must have pushed up her night shirt, just an oversized white t shirt. The woman's arms were toned much like her legs, not too built not to wimpy, like that of a runner or swimmer. It was kinda cute to see them sprawled out in different directions. Seemed the figure was a messy sleeper

Her head came into focus next. Hair clipped short on her head, long in the back, it cascaded around her body in a light blue almost cyan color. And her face..., it was like someone had crafted a face for the sake of looking good. Maybe a bit too round and maybe too 'crafted' of a look, but her big eyelashes drew attention, her small mouth was the kind that made you want to pleasantly kiss it, and her nose was short and cute. But that wasn't what really drew attention, it was her body. And by that, it wasn't human.

Her skin was marble white.... or maybe metal white. Her body was segmented in places, having what seemed to be gel like splits between main connections (elbow, arm to chest, legs to torso, kneecaps). Her hair didn't feel like hair but didn't feel like metal either, as if it was some some sort of prickly but soft steel wool. And she had a tattoo of the USB port symbol...., the top part being noticeable over her thong. She really didn't have feet either. Instead, they just ended in large metal 'boot' like appendages. They actually reminded of knee-high boots or gogo boots. Was that the term, Mya had seen a few girls at… less than up and up establishments wear them.

Whatever, or whoever this was though; the craftsmanship was extremely well done. Even a grease monkey like herself could realize that. Mya was puzzled about why someone would put a robot sex dream into a bed with her. Yeah, she hadn’t gotten with someone recently but… this was too weird.

Just as Mya was processing this, a panel slid off the other figure's arm just enough to show a digital clock that started blaring loud techo music. She had to back off and cover her ears, as the sleeping figured got up with a yawn, a mutter of "Already....., wait... I slept in... Mom?" before turning around to look. Only to see Mya on the bed with her in an equally state of undress.

You know the silence that comes in a stalled garage? The kind that happens when EVERYTHING stops all at once and it just feels like God hit the mute button? Overkill but what else could Mya say to describe the lack of noise, the lack of movement as the two stared into each other’s eyes. Carmel brown against neon cyan. Neither made the first move, not wanting to break this moment of peace. But there was... something that was starting to reach Mya’s ears.

She was wondering what that 'clicking' noise she was hearing...., and just where the other woman's arm went. Oh, there it was, off to her side.... and off the bed.... and going across the floor all the way around said bed to get to....

"Oh.No ya don’t!” Mya cried as the extended arm grabbed her leg that was hanging off the edge of the bed. It was a stern grip but not as cold and forceful as she thought it would be. Though that **** increased a bit as the arm snaked up around her leg, and started to wrap around her entire body. Mya dove for her pillow and started to beat at the arm to no effect. The arm was very quick, the whole process only seconds before she was completely wrapped up in a ball of twisted arm. Mya couldn't even speak as the metal was blocking her mouth, probably due to the fact Mya tried to bite at the limb. At least the robot kept her nose clear so Mya could at least breathe.

"You know, sneaking into a girl's bed room like that? I'd expect this from Sheldon or the Cluster but this is pretty below y.., wait." The figure dragged Mya closer and glared at her, taking her form in. "...., Brit? Is that you? Hold on, Brit would never be caught without a face mask. And you don’t seem stylish enough…,”

Mya just fumed and grumbled, her words muffled by blocking arm.

“MOM some creepy lady is in my room! Your security didn't stop her....," the figure paused as she got up off the bed, her voice turning from annoyed anger to something more worrying. "...Mom? Mom this isn't funny... wait this isn't my..."

The arm tightened more around Mya as the figure turned back to glare at her, the robot's eyes heating up red. "Just... What did you do to me and my Mo.., OW!”

Mya had another reason to go for her pillow. After a couple near break ins, she always kept a wrench under it. Couldn’t afford a gun but now she was glad, as the wrench gave her leverage after she got it into position. Stupid bot couldn’t see it with her weird snake like arm blocking it. Still, didn’t seem to do much when she hit the arm. Instead, she had moved it to where the hand was, and started going after the fingers. That’s when some pain seemed to get through.

That just made the robot mad and she tightened the entire arm around her. Well this bot might get her but not without a fight. She started to go harder at the fingers, before the robot was covered in a blue aura. Given that her arm was wrapped around Mya at the same time, this aura also covered her too. As tight as the arm was, this was smothering. All she could do now was move her eyes around, and it seemed the robot was in the same state.

Carefully the aura seemed to shift them back to the bed, robot sitting and Mya still wrapped up. The tv screen across the way lit up, the screen starting blue and then going white with pink and red highlights. From the speakers a more cheerful and undeniably cheesy voice of an announcer spoke. Honestly, the only thing you had to compare it to would be that of a game show host announcing the grand prize to a set of winners. It was THAT hammy and cheesy.

"Congratulations, Jennifer Wakeman and Mariah Lovett! We here at Cupid's Wishes would like to thank you both for using our services to find the "one" in your lives!" The voice cheerfully began, with the handiness within its voice having no end. Yet, it was what the voice said that caught the attention of both women, each of them shooting a sideways glance at the other.

Jenny was confused, as she hadn't heard of anyone named Mya, or even Lovett in her records..., maybe as a sub or someone at the market but no one important. For her part, Mya was also confused. ‘The one’ right as in Marriage? To a robot? Okay what twisted joke was this.

"We hope you enjoy your new lives together and enjoy the new amenities of the new home we have graciously gifted to you two! As well as the optimized bodies we've given you! Now we're sure you want to go ahead and start your honeymoon and see the sights and sounds of the multi-verse!" The voice cheerily continued, brushing over the fact that it had modified and enhanced the two at seemingly will, possibly for laughs too. Jenny glanced down at her chest and Mya saw her face flush..., in a light blue hue. That was pretty cute. It also kind explained why she didn’t feel as… worn down?

Oh and the multi-verse was a thing...., so.... another thing to toss into the "Panic" folder for later. After all, if there was a walking talking thinking robot next to her, Mutliverse should be next right? Maybe? Unless she’s a person in a costume but…, that’s a very well put together costume.

"But to do that, you must first make the marriage official with a dance underneath the sheets! Once that is done, you can traverse the multi-verse to your heart's desire!" Now that little tidbit of information made both sets of eyes widen. And pretty sure if either could move, their jaw would be hitting the ground as well. As with a quick look, Mya saw that blue blush came across Jenny's cheeks as the voice continued with its speech.

"And remember you are now bound in holy matrimony for good and for ill, For life and for ****! For ****! For ****! For **** and For Life....****... life....deathdeathdeathdeathdeathdeathdeathlifelifelifelifedeathlifedeathlife..." The announcer was caught in a loop before powering down. Still locked in the blue aura, the only thing the two of you could do was look at each other and give a visual shrug before the voice came back through the speakers. Far more Robotic than before.

”ERROR!” This new Announcer declared loudly as the message changed both on-screen and over the speakers. As the beating heart with wings and the ringing bells were soon replaced with the classic missing broadcast slide that read “Experiencing Technical Difficulties, Please Stand by.” Complete with low pitch 'beep'. This made both women exchange looks at each other, the two mirroring the look of concern, worry and confusion of the other while voice of the new Announcer began to drone on.

“Error,” the voice repeated. “Running Match Check… Processing… Error detected and identified….”

“Error located. "Life and ****", subject B is not alive. Not in the traditional sense of living. Match of Organic vs Inorganic, usually incompatible. Running system checks. Checking Match…. Match meets requirements but has caused unforeseen difficulties and dangers.” The Announcer rattled off. Both women shifted what little they could, as the aura started to faulter a bit. It was clear to both of course they wouldn't be compatible; they just MET. That and flesh and blood never really mixed like that outside of stories and well....,

“Running Gift check… Gifts deemed suitable… Running Home Check… Home deemed suitable for Match.” The automated Announcer continued. Gifts? Home? Well mentioning the home made a bit of sense. This wasn’t EITHER of their homes by the look of it. Wedding gifts it had to be right, Mya thought to herself while Jenny cross refereed her files about possible gifts...., and this Cupid Wish thing.

It stopped her from moving but it couldn't stop her internal processes, like linking up to the local network and WiFi. This place actually did have WiFi and a pretty good net to pull from, so that was good. Jenny could get started on learning where she was when she was freed. Yet, that relief was soon replaced with even greater unease and a tad bit of fear for what came next.

“Running Location Check..., predicted dangers and difficulties above above specifications but within parameters. System requires in-depth scan before corrective jump can occur...” This puzzled both. What did it mean by warp... or dangers? Was this some sort of sick game? Still the system seemed confused about it as much as the women were.

"Running Optimization check...., Error. Limited compatibility detected. Cross Referencing with Gift folder...., non issue, revising. Running Optimization check.... cleared." What was that about?

The two were lost in their thoughts as the system checked continued before ending with a soft toned 'Bing Bong'. This drew the attention of both as the screen went back to the normal Cupid's Wish logo screen and the chipper announcer came back on.

"bbbbbbbbbbbbBBBBBUUUUT..., enough with the doom and gloom! It's a time to think about life! So enjoy your new life together, you cute couple! And if you have any questions, consult your travel manual; it is next to your complimentary wedding gifts from us here at Cupids Wishes!" The voice finished as it sounded like it went back to the script, "We hope to hear from you again, give a good review, tell your friends, and ignore the system issue just now. Don't worry, this error shall be worked out in due time! Enjoy you crazy girls!"

For just a moment as the screen powered down, both thought they heard the announcer mutter something. Something like "I'm gonna kneecap Jim next time I see him... making me look like a..." before the sound cut out. At the same time the blue aura seemed to die off too, leaving the two free to move..., well. One of them free to move.

Clink!

A sound came from the arm around Mya, as it slowly started to release some pressure and retract itself. It was careful not to cause any distress or harm to her, so it took longer to undo than it did to wrap her up, but eventually Jenny had her arm back, held to the side of her, the other arm gripping it. It was a pose that reminded the mechanic of a hurt or confused kid.

For her part, Mya didn't know what to do, or even how to feel. A part of her wanted to feel some form of indignant rage for essentially being **** into a marriage she didn't want and certainly didn’t have time to do so. But…The only one to really vent rage out on was this robot. And if she got mad, who knows what the robot would do to her. Still, she needed to…, try and fix this a bit. Or at least convince the bot not to **** her. Was she closer to Bender or one of those Terminators? Mya’s eyes landed on Jenny’s hand, seeing a finger or two had been damaged in their brief conflict.

With a sigh, and a hope, Mya leaned over the side of the bed. If her wrench was inside the pillowcase, it should be under the bed. And sure enough, there it was, a rather busted up shoebox. She pulled it up onto the mattress with a ‘clank’ sound from inside and popped it open. All her tools were still there, at least the ones she kept under the bed. Should be good enough. Mya just reached over and grabbed the hand and pulled it over to the box, resting it on the lid and getting a shout from an unexpected Jenny.

“HEY what the hell?!?” The robot cried out, and tried to take her hand back. Mya tried her best to keep it in place but it was kinda hard.

“Look hey! STOP it! HEY LISTEN!!” Mya shouted only for the robot to get in her face.

“JUST what the hell do you think you’re doing!” Jenny shouted, her eyes starting to turn red.

“Trying to FIX YOU!” Mya shot back, holding up the hand and showing the two bent fingers.

“Are you sure you’re not trying to get back to ripping them off?” Jenny came back with.

“Look…, you don’t wake up next to someone you don’t know and not take a swing. After you wrapped me up.” Mya said plainly.

“….that was to make sure you wouldn’t do anything.” Jenny muttered.

“Yeah well, I might have overreacted. But I’m trying to make up now. So just sit still, and I’ll fix what I did. K?”

Jenny grumbled and huffed, but sat back down and offered her hand. Mya took it and started to get to work. It wouldn’t take too long, the fingers weren’t bent too much out of position and it seemed like the metal the robot was made out of was rather… fluid for metal. Maybe this wouldn’t be too bad if she could walk away with a few sample or some experience.

“Jenny.”

Mya looked up from the hand, seeing the robot had turned to face her again. This close the machine..., was 'pretty cute not gonna lie' Mya mentally noted.

“It’s my name. Only mom called me Jennifer.” the female bot said.

“Yeah well….,” Mya shrugged and offered her free hand, “Only family calls me Mariah. Name’s Mya.”

Jenny took the offered hand and shook it. As awkward as their meeting was, maybe this wouldn’t be to bad.

What's next?
