No (time skip to hybrid pregnancy arc)

Vanessa woke up in her bed. Once again, she had a nagging feeling about hiding the fact that she had been molested by a giant squid and hiding a major marine biological discovery. Instead, they had spun a tall tale about having been sailboarding (naked, for some reason) and then wiping out and being marooned while their boards were washed away by the sea. But that wasn't the only odd feeling this morning. Vanessa felt nauseous like never before. She ran to the toilet and vomited several times. As Vanessa continued to feel queasy, she realized that there was something else wrong with her as well. She had a strange craving for something salty and briny. She tried to ignore it, but the craving only grew stronger. Vanessa got a vivid flashback of the taste of the vile squid secretion that Tori fed to her like a mother bird vomiting into its offspring's mouth. She also remember the sensation of the massive organ spreading her insides as it had its way with her. Suddenly it stuck Vanessa: Her period was way overdue!

As she continued to feel sick and strange cravings, Vanessa decided to take a shower to try and wash off whatever was making her feel this way. The hot water felt good against her skin, but the nausea only seemed to get worse. "It can't be possible, can it? Then again, we're dealing with a species with very little known about it."

Vanessa finished her shower and stepped out, still feeling queasy. She grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her body, trying to ignore the strange sensations she'd been experiencing.
