No, you are not into politics

In your old home, you were never really politically active. There never was a reason to be. When you were old enough to understand election programs, political parties and activism, none of the potentially leaders in your hometown really interested you. Your mother on the other hand often had discussions with mighty people about improving medical service, supporting voluntary work and such things. Mostly it was just harmless talk and peaceful negotiations, but some of the discussions were quite aggressive.

When you were old enough, your mom took you to some of her political meetings and dinners. And you were bored to ****. Mostly you just sit there, smiled when wanted and tried to look interested while some fat old men talked to a crowd of about 50 people about how great their ideas were. There were some discussions and backtalk, but only rarely. When saying your mother once that you were not interested in this shit, she admitted that she wasn’t either, but the hospital needed the money from these guys and you were rather a shield for her against unwanted flirting of the hosts. Most of these guys were not interested in woman who already have children.

Even if you liked spending time with your mother, you never liked the political bullshit and the last thing you want for your new life is to continue this. You have to tell Tyler and Miss Rao carefully and emphatic that they are on their own.

“I’m sorry, but I don’t think this is something I can help you with,” you say carefully, “nothing against you, but I know nothing about this election or the candidates. And I’m also not into politics at all.”

“So, you don’t care about this city at all,” Miss Rao replies angry, “you don’t care about the corruption and the daily sexual ****. It gets worse every day but maybe you like it the way it is.”

“Miss Rao, please, she didn’t say this,” Tyler mumbles embarrassed, “if she isn’t interested, we have to accept this.”

“No, we have not,” Miss Rao hisses, “people who are doing nothing when they could are the worst. Have fun consuming and fucking. If the city gets worse after the election, it is your fault.”

“Hey, I’m not a slut,” you say angry and slap the handouts out of Miss Rao’s hand, “and if this is the opinion of your candidate, I hope the big chance is not coming before both of us are dead and buried.”

“I knew you are just another violent supporter of these corrupt bastards,” Miss Rao replies and crosses her arms self-righteous, “but if think you can scare me, you are wrapped up wrong. Go back to your sugar daddies and cry. When the tables of power are turned, we will remember who was on our side and who deserves punishment.”

“Yes, tell me about it when you wake up from your dreams,” you reply and leave.

“Great, thanks for screwing this up again,” you hear Tyler argue while leaving, “every time the same shit. We need young people on our side, but you scare away the few who may be interested with your miserable quarrelsomeness. Can't you at least shut up once if someone hesitates?”

This bitch makes you angry, you are really happy that she now gets yelled on by her comrade. Even thinking about her increases your heartrate. You just told her you are not interested in supporting a politician who you don’t know and she just insults you. If more of Nidal’s supporters are like this bitch, she will have a hard time winning this election. Speaking about it, you are not sure who you should vote for. If the mayor is indeed corrupt, he is likely on your father’s payroll.
