Chapter 4 by narukure narukure

Does Nicole take subliminal messages well?

No, this is too much. For now

'You love Hoffman and Stepford'

'The men here are trustworthy'

'The men here are smarter than the women'

'You are not able'

'You need a man to tell you what to do'

'You can not do that'

When Nicole was already in a trance, the subliminal messages began to repeat themselves several times, but this time her growing struggle to accept the commands was visible. These commands themselves were much more difficult to accept because of her strong personality, her beliefs and everything she was taught since she was a child.

Just the small assumption that she was inferior to men made her body tremble, this was hard to accept and so she struggled even more with the information.

Whenever subliminal messages entered her mind she soon got kicked out again by her continued resistance. "No, that's not true, it can't be" was a way she reacted to messages and it lasted for hours, since it started, 3 hours of clock had passed and nothing from her gave up.

Meanwhile in another room of the office were all 6 partners

"She seems to be struggling a lot with this information, are you sure you're ready?" Jack says one of the partners while watching Nicole's induction along with the others.

"I agree with him, it doesn't look like it's going to work." Says one of the partners only that this one was black and muscular, his name was Jamal Blake and even if he doesn't look like he was the worst of them. Extremely misogynist like the others but he felt even more hatred towards white women, he has had several complaints of sexual harassment and **** attempts made by some former employees however all cases were not only useless but he also found a way to end it. the reputation of its whistleblowers. Some even received light sentences for false accusations and even after years they were unable to get a job again with another firm.

"It's okay, it was never intended to get her to accept it. However that's enough to make her question her principles. Now let's give her a break so she can actually do some of her work. " says Gary Hoffman, the plan's architect and principal partner, soon shutting down the broadcast.

And so Nicole's screen soon returned to normal by opening the desktop. without realizing that she had been stopped for hours, she began to devise measures to improve the situation of women in the firm and find something that indicates the misogyny of the place until she found her opening: Sofia Turner, a former intern at the firm, graduated in first Harvard place that after a complaint against Jamal for intense sexual harassment she chose to leave the firm and now works for a rival. She was also the only one Jamal couldn't turn the tables on because of his family's reputation for influence.

Next was Layla German, an employee of the firm who has been an associate for 4 years since she left college at age 22 at the top of her class with an impressive resume and in those four years the men who arrived with her and even years later have already become permanent lawyers for the firm within a few months.

That was Nicole's initial decision for the first interviews.
