"A-ah, sorry Penelope, but I'm actually... a bit...."

Your voice trails off. Penelope looks like she's barely holding it together right now, trying to keep the peace that is already kept. You don't want to say anything that might make her feel bad, or like she's been pushy at all.

"...I'm a bit tired, so, maybe another time." You say, then fake a yawn and do a big stretch to get your point across. "But I'll come to you about it, though. When it's a good time." You add quickly.

"O-oh..." Penelope says. "Oh! That makes sense! You still do your classes, don't you? I'd forgotten. Okay then, no problem, Debbie!" She gives you a bright smile. "You just let me know when you're feeling up to it, okay?"

You nod. Penelope gives you a sympathetic backrub, then gets up and goes around the circle, talking to some other members of the Sorority. Two girls head off together with a smile and a goodbye wave to the rest of the group, and then Penelope sits back down in her spot next to you, giving you another gentle smile. You do your best to look tired, but appreciative.
